Sadly this chapter is about to come to an end.
The plan was always to settle the car and keep it but priorities changed and I was dealt a hand and needed to make a move.

In short my eldest daughter moved out after she graduated and got a job about a year after my divorce and me moving out. Leaving my youngest daughter and son still living with their mom and new guy who moved in about around the same time as the eldest moved out. Daughters call me in a state of panic and tears early hours of the morning early December and shared what the living conditions are like. During the December holidays I made the decision to remove my youngest daughter (she is such a hard worker and dedicated to her studies, always getting distinctions.) from her mom's care and set her up in res and get things in place so she can complete her 4th year LLB. So Miss Romanoff had to go to fund it all. (Kids does not know and I still need to think of a good believable story for when they find out the car is gone as they know how much I love this car)

As much as I love this car I am ok with letting her go (truly the best car I ever owned). A cousin of mine is buying her and will take delivery this week. I do have first option of purchase should he wish to sell her in future.

For now I will be rocking a Figo until I take ownership of a buddies Kia Koup.
My bru,
I am sad to hear of this however life has dealt you a hand that this car was able to help you through...it is never going to be a regret sell must a meaningful sale. Should you get it back even better, but our kids are our priorities and for now, you did the best thing as a responsible and level-headed Dad!

Respect and Strongs to you bro!

Thank you gents. It was an easy decision and one worth making. It is such an honor and a blessing being a parent and I just want them to be happy, feel loved, safe and supported to make a success of their journey.

Looking for those R5k call outs with the mighty 1.4 figo:ROFLMAO:

Sad to see my fellow F30 B48 partner in crime go 🥲. I never told you this before but seeing your car and thread is one of the many reasons that inspired me to take a chance with the 320i LCI over a 320d.

I’m sure it must have been a hard decision to let her go, but it will definitely be worth it in the end, especially for you as a proud father and your daughter too.

All the best with the figo man. Atleast this car still will be in your fam and you’ll still see her.

I rate maybe it’s time to go back in time. And I mean maybe E46 330i 👀

Thank you for the kind words gents. Much appreciated

@Nishcat_M140i The thought of a E46 did cross my mind but they rare in good nick. I will be back though in a Beemer as soon as I am able to if not back in Miss Romanoff..

I appreciate the kind words gents. Thank you so much.

My cousin's father in law needed an emergency operation and as such Miss Romanoff is still with me. Drove my final ride to the office yesterday where she will be in storage in the basement parking till her new owner comes to collect her next week. Drove slowly as to savour the last ride. Gave her a pat on the steering badge as I got out. It was truly my best and favourite car ever.

Collected the Koup yesterday. Its a 2016 Cerato Koup 1.6 Tgdi auto with 88 000 km on the clock with only 2100 km done since Feb 2024. Must say as a head purchase I am quite happy. Its a lot of car for cheaper than 2018 polo vivo 1.4 Trendline money.
The car is very dirty, as in it triggered all my ocd senses on the drive home. I get the bra didn't use it, but damn he could have cleaned it. Since he is a great buddy I will forgive him for this.
I booked the koup for a valet at work this morning as an emergency measure. Will book it for a full detail as soon as possible.

Service kit has been acquired and will go in to my cousin's place this weekend for a much needed full service. Will snap some pics over the weekend and post soon.

Massive amount of respect to you bud! The cars we drive do not define us so if you get from point A to B safely, that's enough. Actions like these are what make us and our kids better humans. May you be generously blessed for your sacrificial choices as a good dad.

I think we need a few last pics of Miss Romanoff before she goes

Respect Charlie. I know it was not the plan but our kids will always have precedence.

A final pic of Miss Romanoff with the Koup before she goes to her new home.
My cousin told me to take her for a ride, but think its best not too. Might keep driving lol.🫣

I gave the Koup a full once over with a service on Saturday. Its booked for a detail tomorrow. Need to replace the lip and the driver door rubbers this week. The joys of pillarless doors and wind noise :ROFLMAO:
