Charlton's 2018 320i Edition Msport Shadow

No real updates other than the car did a Matric Ball drive again.

Saw a post of a couple who was scammed booking a car for their daughter's MD. I had this burning desire to reach out and my son urged me on. I also remembered how my bro @KarshS made his car available from my daughters' MD. So I reached out. What an amazing coupe and their beautiful daughter.

She was filthy after the rain so needed a bath on Friday morning. Didn't have time to do it myself.

Miss Romanoff has been doing her daily duties flawlessly. Another 10 000km done and she is due for a service. Sitting on 128 000km now.
I will be away for the next two weeks as of Monday so she will have to wait at home for me to return for the service and a proper detail.

An old pic just because20250425_140144.jpg

Lovely pic!
I see you have a great pavement setup to help you get into the car much easier! Well done bro! :ROFLMAO:

After the car being parked off for a total of 19 days up till the 9th of August and having done only 231km in the last two week. My baby and me are officially back today to the 2-3 day weekly drive from Paarl to the office (90km round trip). Man I missed driving this car. Service is booked for next Tuesday. This week was already fully booked at my preferred dealership. She got a proper bath this morning.

Hey dude,

Doing this honestly keeps that love relationship alive, we take the cars for granted when driven all the time and some space from them is good, because when you jump and drive it again...you then realize what a great vehicle it is.

So true bro, I drove my aunt up to GP in her Mazda2 and back. I honestly cant complain about the little Mazda. Its a good car and it handled the trip including my right foot very well and to be honest the ride is softer than in my car, but man it does not come close to the BMW driving experience.

My car hit 129 416km as I pulled into SMG Tygervalley this morning at 6h42. That's 37 416 km's and her 5th service since I took ownership on the 12th of April 2023 with 92 000km's on the clock.
Was asked by one of the sales consultants if she can please do me a valuation and put me into a new car. I thanked her but said I am still enjoying the installment free life and I cant see myself letting my baby go.

Service and checks just completed and car is ready for collection. Miss Romanoff is still in good health.

And Miss Romanoff finally hit 130 000km on Friday (forgot to take a pic). She also had a full wash and polish last week Wednesday, but the very afternoon it rained.
Will wash her again later in the week and take some updated pics.
This car is a real gem.

Sadly this chapter is about to come to an end.
The plan was always to settle the car and keep it but priorities changed and I was dealt a hand and needed to make a move.

In short my eldest daughter moved out after she graduated and got a job about a year after my divorce and me moving out. Leaving my youngest daughter and son still living with their mom and new guy who moved in about around the same time as the eldest moved out. Daughters call me in a state of panic and tears early hours of the morning early December and shared what the living conditions are like. During the December holidays I made the decision to remove my youngest daughter (she is such a hard worker and dedicated to her studies, always getting distinctions.) from her mom's care and set her up in res and get things in place so she can complete her 4th year LLB. So Miss Romanoff had to go to fund it all. (Kids does not know and I still need to think of a good believable story for when they find out the car is gone as they know how much I love this car)

As much as I love this car I am ok with letting her go (truly the best car I ever owned). A cousin of mine is buying her and will take delivery this week. I do have first option of purchase should he wish to sell her in future.

For now I will be rocking a Figo until I take ownership of a buddies Kia Koup.
