The aftermarket badges that I put on changed color. The silver on it turned to brown and it had like water spots on the entire badge. Changed it back to the originals put on a vinyl overlay. Thanks Riaad. Looks much better now.

Things to do and stuff that I've done around the 100k mark

7. Downpipe, software coupled with xhp stage 2 gearbox flash

No. 7 is a must. It's like driving a completely different car.

@Diesel, when did you do the mods bud and what software did you decide to go for..?

Downpipe and first software was done at 101 000km. Then RK Motion software and xhp flash around 115 000km.

Yesterday I got the front and rear brake pads and front discs changed. The textar brake pads were returned and I purchased oem from ABM.

I still was not happy with the steering wheel leather cover. Especially the rear. There were creases at 6 o clock position. The leather was loose at the 9 and 3 o clock positions. Everything else was still perfect except for those 3 sections.

I undid the thread on those sections. Trimmed the bottom a bit and then glued those 3 sections down. Then restitched those sections.

Looks much better.

Nice work, I am tempted to do the same cover for my car, but the stitching and time scares me...:fencelook:

Went to Mintys today and fitted Nexen Su4 tyres for R4800. The ride is so much more smooth and comfortable.

Got home and decided to loosen the wheel bolts and torque them as the guys at mintys did not when fitting the wheels on. The front right wheel gave me a problem as the lock nut kept spinning. I then noticed the damaged lock nut and lock nut key. I decided move to the other two and removed the lock nuts from rest of the wheels as l knew I would have to get a new set. Now I was in panic mode thinking how to get it off. Eventually after some research on the internet I decided to take a hammer and bang the lock nut key in. I just needed the lock nut removed so I wasn't interested if it got damaged in the process. After some time I managed to remove it. That was a relief. Now I have to go get a new set of lock nuts or maybe just normal ones.

Those Nexen tyres are really well worth it. Im also running a set on mine and they have really good wet weather road holding and it doesnt hurt the pocket either compared to some other brands.

Mileage about 151 000km

About 3 weeks ago l had koni str.t shocks fitted supplied by Peter@AEW. The originals were completely blown and the fronts were leaking. The rears would not return after being compressed and the fronts returned very slowly. All required only one finger pressure to push the shaft down.

Now with the Koni shocks at first they rode hard and harsh over bumps and imperfections on the road. The ride was worse then when I had rfts. Contacted Peter and he said they are firm shocks but not hard or harsh. He also said I check my tyre pressure and suggested front 2.2 and rear 2.4. I was on front 2.5 and rear 2.7.

After adjusting the tyre pressures the ride is so much more smooth and comfortable. The car handles much better on the straight and the corners as well.

I had a very slight steering wheel vibration above 90km from the time I had rfts on. Tried balancing a few times no change. I just put it down as the hard sidewall of the rfts and the roads I travel on are not smooth. I just left it as is and was gonna look into it when I started on the suspension. Now with the new shocks it's alot more. My mechanic and Vinesh from Suspension King have both checked the front suspension and found only very slight play on one of the control arms. Both of them said that this won't cause a vibration to this extent and I must look at rims and tyres. Tyres were balanced by Mintys in January  when purchased and then 2 weeks later at twt. Then last week I got them road forced balanced at Bmw. This lessened the vibration. Two days ago while driving on the N2 the steering vibrated from 90km to 120km. I didn't exceed 120km so not sure past that speed. Yesterday and today a very slight vibration hardly noticeable. So it's not constant. Just hope it's stays that way.

Also had the vibration damper pulley and belt changed.

Yesterday I took the car to Detail Xcellence for a minor update on the paint work. It was much needed as the last time it was polished was in December 2016. As much I wanted to do a paint correction and ceramic coat I couldn't because of the time the process takes. So just a wash, clay, single stage polish and wax was done. I also replaced the ppf on the front splitters and added some tail light tint. Overall I'm happy with the results.

Love the tint on the lights man - something I wanted to do on both cars for some time now..

With regards to the issue, that's a very weird one - I suggest you swop for a different set of wheels + tyres and test to see if the vibration disappears. This will at least help rule out the wheels/tyres.
