Hi Guys, hope you all keeping well.
Even though I’m starting off as a new member right now, I’m not really a new member as @nish_M240i was my previous account. Unfortunately for me, I lost access to the email I used for that account over the years which has resulted in me creating a brand new one.

Anyways, its been a very long time a lot has changed over the years especially in terms of cars and life. To sum up, my F22 M240i has sadly been long gone for nearly 3 years or so now. It’s a car I do miss dearly and it was and still is to date the best looking car I ever owned. In a way, I do have regrets selling it, but then again, I wouldn’t have today owned the car I really wanted before I even bought it. I replaced it with a brand newMythos Black 8Y RS3 Sedan for my birthday back in 2023 which is also why I hadn’t been that active on this forum.
I only owned the RS3 for a period of less than 8 months or so. There are many reasons I decided to let it go, biggest one at the time being the fact that I was looking for a place of my own and needed to free up some funds. It was the quickest car I owned, however despite that, it was a car I would get easily bored of. Being so use to BMWs over the years, I struggled to adapt to it in a way. I ended up selling it and doing about 6000kms in the time I had it. I have no regrets owning it, it was an insane car but just not for me.

I was pretty much performance car-less for atleast 2-3 months last year. Initially I was looking for an F80 M3 Comp, until I came across what seemed to be a bargain, 2019 M140i Shadow Edition. This was a car I initially wanted before I bought the 240, however it had gone out of production at the time and finding a spec like this was hard. I ended up viewing it and buying it only to find a few hidden factors and costs which I shall elaborate on in my showroom thread of the car once I create one. Nothing too major, could have been a lot worse than it really was. I’m just grateful enough that I was able to save this car and give it another life.
Having bought the M140i and daily driving it for a few months,I realized I needed something a bit more lighter and practical for my 60km daily commute. I also wanted to preserve my M140i a bit, especially knowing that it is the last of its kind, a rear wheel drive inline 6 hot hatch, which no other manufacturer let alone BMW will ever create since again since everything is 4 Cylinder AWDs.

Initially like every BMW guy, I was looking for the trustworthy F30 320d as a daily driver. I had looked and came across a few cars, however they weren’t in the greatest of conditions and specs weren’t that great either. One of my guys from SMG gave me a shout and told me that he had a clean 2018 320i M Shadow Edition come in as a trade in. 4 cylinder petrol BMWs weren’t my thing, especially knowing about the N20s issues, but seeing that this had the B48 motor and it was well specced out, I couldn’t help but take the risk and go for it.

Here’s a few pics of both my toys, will be creating a showroom thread with my detailed ownership of both these cars so car:

Welcome back bud, I also wanted to go down the Audi route with the RS3 and/or RSQ3 and after driving both, I just could not fall in love enough to buy them.

The beast is definitely a beast, love an M140i in black! looks wild, congrats on the 320i!

Wish you many safe and happy kms in both your rides!

Congrats on the cars!! Also went down the Audi route( audi s3 8v2) and although a very nice car and good power found it a bit tame for my liking. Had the s3 for all of 8 months and sold it and bought a M140i.
