The carbon wrap looks good, let's just hope that it lasts quite a while.
I did the same on my e46 interior quite a few years ago and the vinyl probably wasn't the best quality because it started bubbling and peeling withing about 5-6months.

Yeah I'll be interested to see how long this lasts.

Looks good, definitely a different look! :clapper: Your door storage compartment needs sorting out :tease:

I still want to attempt wrapping in leather, but not sure that will work well when trying to wrap around etc and I would need that spray glue which will make my trial and error pretty permanent / a disaster to revert. Second hand interior trim is still pricey though..

Haha! Yes. Yes it does need some sorting out. I miss the days of the "secret" compartment by the steering wheel to hold my wallet and glasses.

Wrapping around isn't too bad, just apply heat and lightly stretch. The trims actually have space underneath, so when you wrap around, leave some excess and tuck it in. Gives it that complete wrap-around look instead of just cutting it off.
Maybe with leather just add very small amounts of glue on the actual trim, but underneath add a lot, making it tight, and clip it in. Should hold it all together!

Hey guys, very minor update. Got my hands on some Laminex, decided to smoke out my tail lights.
Unfortunately I didn't have enough :thumbdo: so I did the boot-lights only for now. I'll have to source some more. But i like where it's going so far.

Also smoked out my fogs with what little I had left. Makes no difference when they're on, but makes the shiney dots more subtle when they're off. Sort of looks more sleek.

Looks awesome my previous F30 had smoked tails, looked cool on the black car.

But you should refrain from putting laminx on your dogs Bud, they must not like it.

"Also smoked out my dogs with what little I had left." You made my day with that one liner :roflol:

Hahaha that's what happens when you post from your phone. Dang autocorrect. I clearly text about my dog a lot :roflol:

Took the Laminex off, started to get crinkles for some reason.

My next big mod is on the way..

The tint really looked good, I always debated with my cousin that BMW should have something similiar to the Blacklines but for the F30 (I think the taillights are just too red haha). I hope the next mod is the 335i exhaust set up it really looks good (something I know I would do [for cosmetic reasons of course]).

It sounds like the exhaust mod is coming next. That is going to make a huge difference in the appearance of the car, because that little peashooter on the 320i was just BMW having a moment of weakness:smashScreen:

Yeah I think I must just source better quality tint online. And yes, it is most definitely the exhaust mod coming ;)

Yup! It's really the only thing I dislike about my car. I refuse to live with it, haha.

Question was this the original thick Lamin-X?

My fogs are genuine Lamin-X and no issues. My headlamps are VPS shields and are 100%.

Odd for it to crinkle up like that? One should also be removing the lights and wrapping around the housing. :coolShake:

Nope! Most definitely not original. It was advertised as such by a local place (Auto-Styling) but I knew it wasn't because of the price. Thought I'd try a cheapie to see if I liked it first, so no major loss.

And it crinkles straight in the middle. Got a ridge, I presume from the heat (was a hot day), not even around the rim

Looking forward to the mod mate. Just saw that the have blacklines for the lci f30, they look pretty great. Luke man ypur car is going to look really epic. Are you going to go with the exact exhaust tip size or you going to make them a bit bigger?
