Unless the physical part numbers from Bosch are different I highly doubt that they are actually different, Bmw have been known to do some weird shit in terms of price. I remember comparing a brake booster for an E36 M3 and an older generation 540i or M5 cant remember now, even tho the parts were identical with manufacturer part numbers the bmw part numbers differed and resulted in about a R2500 difference in price with the E36 M3 “Part” being more expensive. So I seriously doubt its different injectors maybe different bmw part numbers but the actual manufacturer part number is the same. Bmw are known to pull prices out there ass anyway so I wouldn’t really read much into a price difference, I think they determine pricing by saying oh we think owners of the 540i should pay more for parts than 530i owners.

first of all, no diesel yoda, just another fanatic.. :=):

regarding injectors, not much to explain.. a device that has to deal with combustion temps (direct injection into combustion chamber) at pressures of up to 2000 bar (29000 psi) , with internal clearances of 0.5 microns, it lives a hard life.. guess thats why they are expensive.

so look after yours, even a flake of rust going through a diesel injector can total it..

but still even at 3.2k to be exact. its still 19k for the @#$$@ers

Lol yep it is steep. Diesel electric will probably cheaper tho for most Bosch items

So I have ordered a transmission filter service kit, which contains the filter a gasket and the sump bolts. Any idea as to what fluid I should use as well as if there is any transmission additive I could put in? does liqui molly have any options available? :=):

Nice. I'm going to be using liquimoly oil, with liquimoly ceratec, liquid moly gear protect and another liquimoly gearbox oil additive. I will be using half ceratec and half gear protect in the gearbox and Diff. Not all of the above are suitable for auto boxes.

Haha some of them are. Just not all of them. Moranor can advise I'm sure.

Ok so I just checked as my mech had all these in stock. The gearprotect is not suitable. The ceratec doesn't say anything. And the other gearbox oil additive is in German.

Liquimoly also have an auto gearbox flush.

so not giving to ZF to service anymore...?
Im most likely going to get ZF to do it but just charge me for labour as I want to supply the oil also most likely 10liters of oil so that the box can be flushed and refilled:=):

ah ok, let me know how it goes, i am yet to do my thermostat as i cannot find a decent torque wrench that starts from 10nm

looking from 10nm to around the 200-300 mark, i noticed getting a 1/2in is very difficult so dont mind getting a 3/4 and using an adapter.
