Why didn't you just blank and remove the egr?

Because I did not have the time nor the energy to get a blanking plate made aswell as block off coolant lines.

Nikhil asked me to post these. By the looks of it he cleaned his boost pipes, intercooler and egr.

An update with no pics, On Monday I dropped the car off at Ross Duncan to solve an minor oil leak I had which turned out to be the rear main seal, in order to do this the gearbox had to be removed which posed a perfect opportunity to get the gearbox serviced. The gearbox oil, filter, and torque converter seals + oil was replaced. I didnt expect a major improvement in the shifts as the box was still relatively smooth, however it made a world of difference in both up and down shifts. I would recommend this to anyone with an auto box the difference was crazy:praise:

Good stuff. Auto boxes need frequent oil changes, no matter what BMW says!

Exactly! Thing is my gearbox was replaced just before motorplan ended so it has like 78 000km on it currently which was perfect time for a change. Next up is diff oil

I used the LM GL5 stuff on my diff. It's a little pricey but that famous diff whine on the M3 is now very quiet.

:coolShake:What’s the approximate cost, and where can I get it from?

Square Moranor from Axis on the forum. I get all my LM stuff from him. He will also confirm the exact type you need. For my car, it worked to around R550'ish a litre and I needed 1.7L on mine.
