I just looked at the M3 pistons and and they are pocketed for a 4valves per cylinder head and this is not ideal for the M43's 2valves per cylinder head. So, the M70 5.4lt V12 sub assembly I stripped down to turn the damaged block into a Top Gear coffee table yielded 11 good pistons and rods and what do you know 86.35mm and it has a good crown for 2valves per cylinder head! Peter come pick 4 of the best.:thumbs:

I would love to help out financially however i have recieved my new lease this month which has my annual increase + admin fees etc, so im a bit swak this month

I am also one of those that cannot assist in building the car or transporting parts, but am willing to assist wherever possible.

I might not be able to help financially (got some of my own stuff to deal with) or physically (I can pass tools around if needed at most) but I (events committee) already desinged an event to help fanatics in need.

Lets punt the Charity event and if Bruce's car is ready I would love to have to have it on display together with a write up of what and who has done to help. Also, Axis Engine Works and Gizmo (plus any other) should place banners up around the car.

Thank you for the thought I for one am doing this independently of Axis to help Bruce and not Axis.
(We ordinarily would not undertake work on a 4 cyl car unless it is an s14.)

Would like to assist too. Dunno what size rims u got bud, but I can sponsor a set of 17inch tyres , about 80 percentage thread :rollsmile:

Also not knowing much on the tech side of the engine would offer passing spanners and tools around.
