Maybe Crash can start a new thread for each fanatic to indicate to what degree if any he may be able to assist.

Gasket set
set of plugs
water pump
belts
oil
anti freeze
filters
machining work at engineers for block and head
set of head bolts
set of rod bolts

If the engine is delivered to me during this week I can have a report ready by early next week as to what will be needed exactly.

Awesome Peter. I have just contacted Bruce and waiting for his response regarding getting the engine to you.

I was able to source another 318i engine that is being stripped for spares. Am trying to find out if it is still available. If so, will help Bruce by getting the engine.

Once you know exactly what is needed after you have inspected Bruce's old engine, I can then put together a thread to organize a fundraiser or meetup to try get some fanatics to help get the Witch back on the road.

This is huge. I know you and I both spoke about this two months back. I am glad we are taking steps to make it happen. As much as you are sir greek, the mighty adhonis... you too have a soft spot. ha ha ha.

Many Manicurists will be sent your way.

Im thinking while the motor is out we may as well play around a bit, if the block is going to be machined then may as well bore it out to 86mm from the std 84mm. I will donate a set of 2nd hand M3 pistons to the build if you choose to bore it out.:thumbs:
For R2k you can take my spare M47 crank which will take the stroke from 81mm to 88mm.
