A suspicion yes.
I sold the Head and Block to 2 different Clubmans guys running E46 330i.
Both took their respective parts to engineering and everything was 100% ok.
Greg from Basticks Engineering done the work for them too, He suspects it was the Oil Squirter on that cyl.
The crank/Rods/Pistons also all checked out. Only 1 conrod needed to be replaced. Crank was even fine.
So i guess we going with the idea that it was an Oil Squirter.

I wont Ever understand it.
Greg did say its not common for the Oil squirters to go bad.
But its the only Guess he has since EVERYTHING ELSE was fine. Even the Oil pump went to Ruan who is also Racing a 330i on track. and He came back confirming oil pressure is Excellent and currently running that pump on his track car. ( i obviously Told him where the pump is from and sold to him for Peanuts. Thankfully it worked out in his favour)
I thought maybe it was sitting to long and but that engine was so clean inside, zero sludge.
Just to give you an idea on what it looked like inside
Head
Block (plus Cyl 3 Bore)
OilPump
Pistons/Rods
Crank (Assembly Lube on to keep it from Rusting)
But yeah. Maybe there was nothing Wrong.
Maybe it just happened as there was a lesson for me to Learn. ( and oh boy have i learnt the lesson. lol )

Your old motor did use oil? Looks like the oil rings on the pistons were clogged up?
BackStory before lesson learnt:
For those that know me, knows Im the type that saw every phone call or message from anyone needing my help as an opportunity to be God’s answer to someones prayer/cries fro help.
The person that finds joy in doing for others and seeing them happy.
But sadly, Allot of people Felt it was ok to use and abuse me and i always been the type to take peoples disrespect and not respond to them. The Worlds punching bag. lol.
I believed in "Being the better man" regardless if those showing agression to me are right or wrong.
I touched on the rough year i had earlier on in the thread ( After the motor issues ) but i snapped. to a point that i responded 10times worse to these toxic people which i never done before. to a point that 1 of them was at the checkers opproste my house and gave me a dirty look, and i proceeded to try and Roll their i10 Over with them in it. hahahah ( I ask myself today still why i did that but the fear in their eyes made me happy ) LMAO
And then I got punished with the blown engine. From a car that drove perfectly fine prior to pulling motor and doing the swop. Thats 1 way i looked at it as i dont think i should have behaved the way i did
I realized I can’t control how others think or behave, so I chose to distance myself from their toxicity and protect my peace. And that blood is not thicker than water, While they Prayed for me to get rid if things that made me happy and discussed my misfortune behind my back wondering what i will do, Its people like you, TInuva and others on this forum, That actually took the time to Help me make sense of everything.
So i had to go to that place to get to this one. And i will never go back to that time of my life. But also not along people to walk over me.
ok enough of the drama. lol
She used what i would Consider very minor. Remember, this was the engine you asked me to sell you. Im so damn gratefull i said no and i had plans for it to go into my car. I would have been devistated if i sold it to you and this happened.

Some serious lessons learnt there...here I was thinking it had something to do with what oil to use
Life is full of energy thieves, it is nice to help others, but you need to pay attention to your own cup before you can fill other people's cups...
I am surprised that it used so little oil with such gunked up oil rings!

I never drove the donor car that much as i immediatly scrapped it.
Oil was topped off prior to me picking it up.
For the +-1000km that i drove with it in the touring before it started with its knock Knock jokes, I was yet to top up oil. she was still on her mark. Though i was running the O2Pilot mod so maybe this had a hand in it.
