A suspicion yes.

I sold the Head and Block to 2 different Clubmans guys running E46 330i.

Both took their respective parts to engineering and everything was 100% ok.
Greg from Basticks Engineering done the work for them too, He suspects it was the Oil Squirter on that cyl.

The crank/Rods/Pistons also all checked out. Only 1 conrod needed to be replaced. Crank was even fine.

So i guess we going with the idea that it was an Oil Squirter.

I wont Ever understand it.

Greg did say its not common for the Oil squirters to go bad.
But its the only Guess he has since EVERYTHING ELSE was fine. Even the Oil pump went to Ruan who is also Racing a 330i on track. and He came back confirming oil pressure is Excellent and currently running that pump on his track car. ( i obviously Told him where the pump is from and sold to him for Peanuts. Thankfully it worked out in his favour)

I thought maybe it was sitting to long and but that engine was so clean inside, zero sludge.

Just to give you an idea on what it looked like inside

Head

Block (plus Cyl 3 Bore)


OilPump


Pistons/Rods


Crank (Assembly Lube on to keep it from Rusting)


But yeah. Maybe there was nothing Wrong.
Maybe it just happened as there was a lesson for me to Learn. ( and oh boy have i learnt the lesson. lol )

Your old motor did use oil? Looks like the oil rings on the pistons were clogged up?

Oil control rings are definitely sludged and scraper rings have carbon in the ring land

BackStory before lesson learnt:
For those that know me, knows Im the type that saw every phone call or message from anyone needing my help as an opportunity to be God’s answer to someones prayer/cries fro help.
The person that finds joy in doing for others and seeing them happy.
But sadly, Allot of people Felt it was ok to use and abuse me and i always been the type to take peoples disrespect and not respond to them. The Worlds punching bag. lol.
I believed in "Being the better man" regardless if those showing agression to me are right or wrong.

I touched on the rough year i had earlier on in the thread ( After the motor issues ) but i snapped. to a point that i responded 10times worse to these toxic people which i never done before. to a point that 1 of them was at the checkers opproste my house and gave me a dirty look, and i proceeded to try and Roll their i10 Over with them in it. hahahah ( I ask myself today still why i did that but the fear in their eyes made me happy ) LMAO

And then I got punished with the blown engine. From a car that drove perfectly fine prior to pulling motor and doing the swop. Thats 1 way i looked at it as i dont think i should have behaved the way i did

I realized I can’t control how others think or behave, so I chose to distance myself from their toxicity and protect my peace. And that blood is not thicker than water, While they Prayed for me to get rid if things that made me happy and discussed my misfortune behind my back wondering what i will do, Its people like you, TInuva and others on this forum, That actually took the time to Help me make sense of everything.

So i had to go to that place to get to this one. And i will never go back to that time of my life. But also not along people to walk over me.

ok enough of the drama. lol

I am surprised that it used so little oil with such gunked up oil rings!

I never drove the donor car that much as i immediatly scrapped it.
Oil was topped off prior to me picking it up.

For the +-1000km that i drove with it in the touring before it started with its knock Knock jokes, I was yet to top up oil. she was still on her mark. Though i was running the O2Pilot mod so maybe this had a hand in it.

I can forsure see that i wont be able to recover a single cent from these clowns, I hope this Kid learns his lesson before God teaches them a lesson.

kid pulled a Taxi move, passing all cars at stop sign, in oncoming Traffic, Flew over the intersection forcing all to stop, I did not see this and only saw him turning after i passed the car in the right lane, swerved left and the fortuner kissed the arch...

Could have been worse.
its in a crap spot but repairable.

hope he learnt his lesson

🤬 In this day and age, crazy that parents are letting their kids drive unlicensed to school. What is even more surprising is that the cops did not immidiately arrest the kid...

I went this morning and got told in afrikaans," dont come here and threaten me. you dont know me" ...LMAO.
I just looked at this blob and asked him for his Cellphone number. Which he refused to give too. said I can take him to court.

Remind me of an incident that happened to my brother years ago.
He was driving my 1975 LS coupe when a Kid on a speeding motorbike lost control and slid into the side of my car.

When his dad showed up, he refused to give any information. all my brother had was the number plate.
And he told my brother, He should fix his own car and they will Fix the bike but he not paying a cent towards fixing the car.

I paid a company in Hermanus, International Track and Trace ( or something like that ) R350, and they traced his number plate, they got me the dads work address, home address and contact numbers. and the sent him the Letter of demand on my behalf

So i called the dad and he was first shocked that i got his number, but then got very angry and aggressive with me on the phone. Apparently he was member of some Bike club so he threw that around.

I eventually just left it and repaired the car myself.
4years later, I was cleaning some stuff up and came accross the details of this guy and his son. So i called the sons cell number to remind him that he still owes me.
His mum answered and when i asked to speak to her son, she just burst into tears on the phone.

And she told me her son Died in motorbike accident 3months ago.
I was also shocked but and felt bad for her so i did not tell her why i called, i just said i was a friend and i got his number and wanted to reconnect.

God does not sleep. And what i lose today because of another, They might lose 10 times more but arrogance is what makes them blind.

So i will just Let this incident go too. Time is too valuable for me to waste on them.

Let God deal with them which ever way he feels is just.

He was shaking like crazy. Thought he was going to shit himself.

But i just gave him a lecture and told him the first thing would be for him to take responsibility and resolve this.
And he seemed keen cause he gave me all the right info.

But the fact that the parents let him drive to school, And show off to his friends in the car that he can drive like a pig, they proved me right that they going to shield him from responsibility. Exactly what they did.

Contacted Qasim, pdr guy, yesterday and said its on a hard, reinforced edge so its going to be tough to try and get out. Also no access and if we remove the insides and he cannot get in from there, Then he would need to drill Access hole into the wheel well so he can try to fix. He advised its better to just have it pulled out from the outside and Reapired/painted.

I guess its something i will try in future.
in the meantime, i polished it and seems like a waste to be taken to metal and pulled out but yeah. will get some supplies and then will attempt in future

If anyone knows of a PDR guy that i can maybe get a second opinion from, please let me know

Karma/life/God/god will teach you a hard lesson...agree with you, sometimes it just isnt worth lowering yourself to the levels that some of these cucumbers/blobs operate at

Never argue with an idiot, they will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

That damage almost doenst look bad enough to warrant such a big repair job...maybe another PDR opinion and some touchup paint and send it?
