No bro, I meant plastidip the 330d badge. Looks so much better than chrome. Especially on white.

Have you removed the swirl flaps as i cannot recall seeing it done on your posts? If not, now is the time to do it before it gets into your motor! Have fun!

After owning the car for about +- 7 months now, I decided it was time to tackle the engine bay as I have never cleaned it before and was starting to look disgusting.

Stuff I used.

Pressure washer
Engine cleaner (regular Midas stuff)
Micro fibre cloths
Meguairs ultimate compound
Meguairs wax

Also note that I washed the engine bay with the car completely cold, like the car was last started the day before. The reason I did this is because I am afraid that dosing a hot stainless steel manifold may lead to it cracking as it’s not the strongest of ones.

will upload pics shortly

I dont think the pics do your hard work justice. I know how much of a difference cleaning the engine can make and cant be seen in pics...

Awesome stuff nikhil, i normally just move the car out of the garage into my 'washbay' but only tackle the engine after cleaning the rest of the car. In the year i have the E60 i have not used the pressure cleaner in the engine bay i wipe it regularly.

Nice work on the engine :bravo:

Just a side note, I find megs trim detailer very effective in dressing plastics around the engine bay, gives a nice satin finish and helps lubricate plastics and prevent discolouration

Nikhil, remove the swirl flaps rather sooner than later. You don't want them to land up in the motor.

Thanks sash I agree, if you look at the 1st and 4th pic you can actually see the difference where the paint looks yellow vs being white and shiny. But yes pics don’t do justice.
