I purchased the black oil plan on BMW's Black Friday deals.

Car went in for a engine and brake fluid service yesterday at 117 500km.
Bought her on 92 000km (service history showed previous service was on 74 840 km) and did a service at 94 000, then on 101 000, again at 109 000 and now on 117 500. Will do a service every 10 000 km or once a year which ever comes first. BMW also did a vehicle check and I am happy to report the car is in good health.
Weirdly the font brake pads still has meat left and is still showing 5000km to go, its been showing that since 108 000km LOL.
Will replace them anyway over the holidays for extra peace of mind.

Didn't take pics cause work has been to crazy to clean the car. Will give her a proper wash and wax over the weekend.
I am on 76000km, mine also says brake check in 5000km/Feb2025.

I will also do oil change at 10000km intervals for long term. Since replacing a cars is out of the question with their current prices.

Brake fluid was only due in Feb so decided to just have it done now. Will ask my trusted mechie aka cousin to do the brake pads.
I am not selling this car ever. So I need to look after her.

There's a 320i about 10min away from me that I've got my eye on. 90k on the clock, looks clean but have not done any checks on it... I'm fighting hard with my inner self not to go back and check it fully this time because if it's clean, and VIN history etc is clean, I'm 100% going for it. :ROFLMAO:

My mind right now:
It's bigger - win
Less fuel - win
More space - win
Less fuel - imagine...
M Sport with nav - win
Less fuel - omg
Untouched from what I could see on my walk around the car and quick motor scout, Xenon with washers and LED DRLs - win
Less fuel - *soft whisper voice* Do iiiiiiiit

Both the kid and wife said not to part with the 135, but idk man, I'm kinda over the whole performance mod thing, we get into so much kak anyway lately it's not even worth it if you don't track it. Mate of mine also has a 320i, taken to stage 2 and in all honesty it's more than enough power to enjoy it. Even when driving spirited he's fuel consumption is something I dream about when simply driving normal.

On the other side, I've always liked the F30, they just look good from every angle, your's is a good example.

Bro trust me you gona miss the power from that N55 but I get what you saying. With the amount of cops and speed traps around the city, a tuned 320i can also get you into trouble. Don't ask me how I know.

You don't mention the year model but you did state its got xenon lights with washers which I think is pre-lci, so meaning N20 motor. I would be weary of that infamous N20.
The face lift models came with LED lights so no light washers and it got the B48 motor.

If you going from the N55, you should consider the 330d rather. I went down to a 20d and it is a great motor and enough power BUT that 6 cylinder drive is still missed. And I tell myself it is not BUT it is...however a 30d minimum for me was R760k and that was cheap. F30 wise, you can play around the R400 - 500k mark to get a low mileage unicorn but you wont regret it.

I also think it's pre-LCI and that comforts me into not going back, like I said I took a quick look like a fckin weirdo from a distance, I'm pretty sure I noticed the N20 white water bottle to the right of the bay (apologies if I'm wrong though). The salesman approached me but I told him I don't want any details, I'll be back if the temptation really kicks in. But I don't wanna go back, coz if I stumble across the perfect 320i it's tickets.

Oh shush... Can't you see I'm not trying to temp myself into a F30... :ROFLMAO:

Listen listen listen ... ... .... ....

You mentioned fuel consumption twice in your post...that means 30d. ha ha ha!

Not much to update. Miss Romanoff just hit the 120 000km mark and running flawlessly, mostly at close to the speed limit but I do let her clean out her lungs every now and again.
I was made a fairly decent offer recently but decided to decline, despite the fact that a 2 series would actually fit my needs better. I don't need all the extra doors and space most of the time.

A detail is due again and will book her in sometime in March.

I can only afford the F30 mountain drives. I am apartment shopping so the Sunroof will have to do, or the back of my cousins 1994 Isuzu. 😅

Not much has happened. Done 3000km since the last service. The car has been doing her duties flawlessly.
Saw these pedal covers being sold by Firi and decided to purchase it. 20250317_153323.jpg
Also changed the v bars to red. Still plan on painting the brake calipers red.
Then the mod I am the most proud off. Paid my final installment to the bank. She is officially mine.

I'm still apartment shopping so any planned mods is on hold. Will still book the detail as its due.

I do have some plans for her but as mentioned its on hold for now.

Good luck with the apartment hunt! House pricing in Cape Town is absolutely mental right now. Definitely feels like you’re paying premium prices for budget spaces. Hope you find something decent soon.

Its hectic bro, but it is what it is. I'm not rushing it as I don't want to end up regretting my decision and being stuck with a place.

Forgive me if you've already done this, don't forget to request for the ownership papers from the bank. Some of the banks don't do it unless you ask for the papers. That said, nicely done sir. Congrats.
