anyone care to comment if there is more or less smoke? :fencelook:

Difficult for me to say.. Tip does not seem to be any dirtier than usual... All I can say is that I am not imagining things my car feels strong.. very strong to be honest.. maybe the diesel cleaned the injectors or something too but I am happy with the batch I got.. now just need the cetane number measured.. anyone?

Hopefully with there being 10ppm diesel in South Africa, the 335d will soon make an appearance.

Hopefully we get this in 2015 as a special edition :ninja:

Sasol on Witkoppen opposite The Buzz shopping centre has 10ppm

Okay my feedback:

filled R300 10ppm in Bedfordview, paid R12.94/l....

1. kms of the R300 fuel = R529km
2. Car feels a little more responsive but i still think its my head perhaps...filled Caltex and Total after this, and car felt similiar but not as responsive...rear doesnt twitch as much lol

all in all, i am still going to fill again after this Total diesel and check if the power has increased...if it has then i am happy. the kms of the diesel i got though was pretty decent...

I haven't noticed any more or less smoke but what I have felt is my car does feel a little stronger, I have done the tests with all the garages and my car hated Sasol before (true) 10ppm came along. I have only filled with one tank, but consumption is definitely down. A few more tanks and I'll reach a proper verdict

Not sure which area you checked but according to a local sasol, Pretoria will only get 10ppm in a couple weeks time.

The new diesel wouldnt make any difference we already have the X5M50d x-drive wow thats a mouthful. So 50ppm would be fine for a 335d already.

I will check if the Sasol "near" me (10kms) has it and will report back.

Sasol 10ppm only available in Gauteng and Mpumalanga, will be rolled out in other regions during 2014 and 15

Hmm so my tank is on 3/4 now for 523kms - I usually get around 720 at that mark, so not too sure if it's just a combination of higher temps, having to push the car harder or more spirited driving but from an economy point of view I can't comment about this now. Consumption settled at 8l/100.

Will fill up again tomorrow and give the next week a bash and see how that goes, but I know the car has more power so it's probably just me driving harder

My findings thus far can be confirmed on my 2nd tank, my old tractor is def heavier on the juice, but wheelspin all the way so I guess the trade off is worth it. Full tank of diesel gets me around 520Kms on my daily route as apposed to the 720 I usually got. Improved responsiveness is worth it as I am driving the car much harder.

Heavier on 10ppm? :fencelook:

Yes sir, I am on tank 2 with the same findings - but like I said I am driving the car very very hard as I am enjoying all the wheelspin

Will post some open road figures soon to see if I can beat my 3.8l/100Km on the open road. This will be a better comparison. :=):
