They do yes. However the older diesel engines were designed to run on higher sulpher diesel... No doubt the lubrication added to this diesel is aimed at more modern diesels... Hence I add my own

Regardless I'd add some additives just to be on the safe side :) and to increase the cetane level as well

So where can I buy an additive. Do you add this to your tank of petrol of to your oil. I think I need to add some. How often do u add.
Also will filling a tank of 500ppn every now and then not help solve that.

I personally wouldn't put 500ppm in my bmw. Stick with 50ppm and 10ppm. Moranor sells NF stuff and I think its executor or someone who stocks some other additives. Just check the advertisers section. Otherwise liquimoly have diesel additives Moranor should sell their stuff too.

Same with the Sasol near me. But after filling 50ppm Sasol.., i dont want to use it again. Am seeing a consumption difference of at least 1L per 100km worse with Sasol and I find the car a bit more laggy..,

It could be just in my head, but am waiting to finish the tank and go back to BP.

Unfortunately, by the next tank i will be driving to Durban, so will probably put in some diesel boost, so the difference might overshadowed by the Diesel Boost.

I used the 10ppm on 3 fill ups and can notice a difference in consumption its about 0.5l/100km lighter, the car also feels more responsive.

Some say it's lighter, some say heavier. So I'm really not so sure anymore.

I think I'll fill up 10ppm in Randburg this week, and top up the night before the long trip with either Engen or BP 50ppm.

What I want for December is not power, but mileage.

Of course, I'd like the best quality too
