Otherwise this weekend Im Definitely getting the parts car home. That customers car can stand outside for all i care..

Im ao p**sed off right now.

Did the diff swop, and guess what, my "HUMMING", "WHIRRING", Whtever u wna call it, is still there.

Symptoms are. No noise on acceleration. Only happens on deceleration.

No noise on deceleration above 100km/h.
No noose on deceleration below 80km/h.

Its only heard in between 80 and 100 on deceleration.

Noise does not go away if i coast in neutral
Noise does not go away if i coast with clutch pressed in

Wth is the problem!!!

All over the internet and some reputable shops told me its the diff pinion preload. New good second hand diff, and symptoms are exctly the same


Guys, what else can cause these symptoms???

Woah. At first I thought I only hear the awesome engine rumble. But you were not joking about the whining noise. I have never heard that one before.

If you sit in the back of the car when someone else drive it, could you not hear more accurately where it is originating from? The great thing about a touring is, at least you can put the seats down, unlike the sedans where if it sounds from the boot you cant pin point it from the back seat.
