Anyone know what's a TwinScroll turbocharger and what's different about it compared to the TwinPower Turbo?

I wonder how they are going to price them

Has anyone got any pricing on these cars yet?

I found the UK pricing here so maybe multiply it by 1000000000000000 and you'll get SA prices. :p

I wonder what they thinking putting an unchanged e90 335i motor in the new 335i...identical power and torque. The 328i puts out not too distant numbers. On the positive side, atleast they have gone back to using good old fashioned water temperature gauges...

@LPM320 - On the other new 3-series thread I read that this is an oil temp guage and not a water temp guage. :thumbdo:

I would prefer a water temp guage, but now there is a turbo, so there has to be an oil temp guage ?????

Turbo or not I still think a car should have water temperature gauge (with or without oil temp) it is just very important to have, especially on BMW's (and most modern cars) that don't handle overheating very well. But I guess BMW's goal is to sell cars, so it makes sense to replace a gauge with a "you engine is stuffed"-light. This is not even going into to fact that the probably also don't have a proper way to check the oil level

I would love to have the 328i engine in a Caterham of some sort or something similar. Would be epic

I bet BMW made 328i not just a software difference to 320i . Hope motorplan can absorb all the stuffed turbo repair costs . Fuel economy cannot be pie in the sky , then false advertising...hello CPA
4.4 L/100 km - better than some motor bikes !!!!

Yep! there are going to be a number of surprised faces when a 320i pulls away from you at a traffic light!!

With induction, downpipe and smart software those 320i 's will run VERY close to 180kW version of the standard 328i. Plus the guys at the reef will be VERY happy not to loose power at altitude!
