Why not consider a 1M? Or alternatively, there are a few M5's that can be had for sub R800k at the moment....... unfortunately the Current M3/M4 used prices are still hovering in the R900's but I am sure they will be in the R800k region in 2016...

Oh and kudos for wanting a manual!

Car prices keep going up every couple of months lately so if you are indeed sure of the fact you selling the 125 then get into the M235i and save some bob.
You could always mod it stage by stage and it'll end up being quicker than a stock M2 for less money

So looks like with the 1m will hold value and resale above 1mill but too closely priced to the m3

I dont know how they got a price becuase every dealer Ive asked said bmw has not told them but most told me around 800 fully specced but who can u belive anyway hey... but the limited number I havexpect also been told. Got told there will be 167 over 3 years but to be honest I have read that there is rumoured to be a face lift as well plus it won't be limited, just low allocations per year unlike the 1M which was pretty much once off.
Oh and 950 is like 50 grand off an M3? Isn't that just too close for BMW ? Surely they can't do that ?

It was probably the price as stands. Easy to add 100k in extras these days with stuff that should come standard originally on a luxury car.

I think on most of these cars that get to SA, they won't be base models. Will be specd with good few extras and if you want the car thats the price you pay. 50 to 100k of m3 price depending on spec level.
Was told m2 shares some components with the new m3 e.g suspension bit etc so its way different to a 235i
