Ok,so finally I have managed to finish the first pass polish of the car. The paint needs a bit more attention, and a couple more deep polishes to bring it out,BUT,I am very very happy with where the car is right now. Managed to get it out for a few pics in between rain showers in Cape Town today.

Awesome progress

Whats on the to-do list, so it runs 100%?

I just need to check what the idle issue is Wes. That's pretty much it. Otherwise the car is completely different from when you saw it!
It's not a timing issue cos it's a Motronic system so timing can't be set apparently. Been told it might be wrong plugs or it might be a vacuum leak.

Check what plugs they are, i'll have a look at what came out of my car when i get home.

That's looks awesome Morgan...
I find this car to be so "gangster"... like when you drive in it, it rules everything else..
Read somewhere that when it came out, it was the 4th most expensive car in the country...rich mans toy..

Thanks Brendin,it's a labour of love, literally more labour than love at times!lol!

I have the original purchase invoice for the car, in June 1981 it cost the princely sum of R54000. Not quite sure how that equates now,but I would guess a LOT. The radio in it was an optional extra at over R600....that's a crap load in 1981!!
