just a tip, search for the howto online as to how to retrofit OBC to non OBC cars, theres a doc somewhere detailing plugs wires colors everything, this might be a great addition
i have a 1985 528i e28, and ive been researching how to add a onboard computer to it (obc)

The standard wiring in the car provided it has not been butchered will accommodate the OBC retrofit.
You shall obviously need the OBC computer as well as its very specific harness of which I have one with me which belongs to Waseem should you wish a pic of it.
