Was full of power steering oil. Peter was cleaning it and pressed it inward and it just stuck like that. No damage.

Regarding the Jeep. It wasn't the old SRT 8. It was the new 2014 SRT.

Guy wasn't happy.

Whats up with the inner left steering boot?Looks twisted or damaged in the photo.

Sent from Street Standing Telkom Payphone

It sucked its breath in when it saw my awesomeness and good looks :)

I cleaned the boot as one of the hoses burst directly above it and the folds were full of oil.

Eish! 40pages already of Crash's deflating bank balance! Wait 'till you boost again! C.I.T vehicle knockoff here we come!

I really do feel sorry for you but think of it this way, the parts are way cheaper than the newer generation BMWs so the E46M3 in a way is affordable...:fencelook:

Thanks Warren.

It has been a trying few months. But I think we are at the end now. Peter has helped me resurrect the car. Drove her yesterday and she pulls relentlessly to 8000rpm. Cannot believe what I was missing. I got so used to the dip in power at around 3000rpm and again at 5500rpm.

First time I actually got scared driving my own car.

Peter, thank you again for helping me with this project.

A word to the wise, modding is addictive, and expensive. Things break, especially on a 13 year old performance car which used to have 340kw on the wheels for two years of its life and thrashed around cape town mountain passes. Jeze has lived a hard life. My goal was to build her back up and replace all the faulty or suspect parts. She's almost there. In fact, I think she's already raised her foot towards the final step up this large mountain staircase we've been climbing.

If you can't accept delays and parts breaking, modding is not for you.

Thanks Peter.

I forgot to mention that we still need to do the power steering pump which we discovered had failled after the hose burst.......price from ZF direct for an exchange unit roughly R2700 and for a new unit from agents some R3m.

The M3 and Z M cars are the only ones with the same pump.

So... it is done. Burgy at Project Shit did the install

She is charged.

Will start a new thread regarding the build and videos to come.

but for now, a taste. Car was dirty from sitting between Leonard's shop, Peter's garage and Burgy's garage.

Enjoy.

Project Shift Alpha N base file for supercharging is loaded. No idle issues, car runs well. Blow off valve working. Still need to fabricate a pipe from the Supercharger to the Manifold as we made a temporary one for now to make sure it works. (This is a custom kit). Slight boost leak but car drives. Already done 500km and no real issues.

Waiting for proper injector spacer as the one sent was too small. So using stock injectors for now. Car pulls back timing and runs lean on the top (AFR reads 15/16), so no hard driving for now until the new spacer arrives and the injectors can go in. Other than that, she feels good. Spacer should be here tomorrow hopefully.

Will update more on new thread.

Thank you Peter for building this car back to the condition she needed to be in for this supercharger to go in. It has been a long wait. Thank you Burgy for helping me with the Supercharger install and your mad ideas, which somehow, against my original thoughts, always work.

THANK YOU.
