The facelift is a gorgeous car. And besides, I'll be enjoying the car whilst driving it more than whilst looking at it, as is the point of a 7 :idea:

Don't you have exams to not study for or a track car's build to delay?

Of course however this is an important bit off information which I feel should be disclosed with other forum members to prevent a further waste of time. :rollsmile:

The e38 is the close cousin of the e39, as lots of the e39 comes from the e38.

Therefore... *drumroll*

:cartel::cartel::cartel: The e39 mafia approves...

The e65 is "special"

Therefore... *drumroll*

:cartel::cartel::cartel: The e39 mafia does not approve...

hahaha

Leonard... Why could you not hold out on the sale of your business until AFTER my accident? Because this is now ridiculous. I'm sure you would have handled this better.

As if I'm going to try save money by not repairing my car, running away after they've ordered the parts? INSURANCE is paying for the damned repair!

:argh::argh::argh::argh::argh:

I was just told by Darryl (my consultant at Dent Doc BB) that his boss told him that my car must be there before they even order the parts, which will take 14 business days (read 3 weeks approx) to arrive from Germany, and then the repair must still be done.

I'll only get my car back in the new year if this happens, if I take it in today??? Not gonna happen, and I tell them this.

So, in their willingness to assist, I need to first fork out the excess, pay it to Dent Doc, and only then will they order the parts. I thought the parts had been ordered a week ago already. This delays the process into Dent Doc's closing period, which means my car will only be going for repairs next year anyways.

Already spoke to them about using your parts. They say they can't as it's an insurance claim and they need to provide all invoices as bought on their account to the insurers.

I found a brand new set of OEM sport headlights going for a steal which I wanted them to buy instead of from BMW, and they can't do that either.

So I'll be buying those headlights myself, which means I'll have one brand new right hand side sport headlight if anyone wants to make an offer for it.

I had the exact same issue. Parts will only be ordered once the car is in their possession which I think is utter BS. They were awarded the job by the insurance company in any case, so what then? :hammerhead:

This is BS from the repairers part.

I just had my bakkie repaired. I was asked by the repairer to bring the bakkie in a week, once the parts had arrived and also so that they will clear out their backlog so there wont be any delays to which I highly appreciated.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I think the parts will come in via private courier, BMW to BMW.
