Already been restored so I'm not too sure how much of the lense cover is left. Will have it professionally done and see what happens.

When you polish a headlight you dont burn through much of the lens. from my understanding the problem is they have some sort of coating which is why once polished they always fade or yellow again. The turtle wax kit sold comes with a lens sealant.

I know a guy that will do it for around 200 bucks so will let him do it.

Where's a decent place to take it for VPS coating afterwards?

Just get the laminex stuff. VPS is ridiculously expensive. I got quoted something like R800 a headlight.

Still trying to get one from Hella for the left.

This new one was from BMW. Around 10 grand.

Xenons are around 18 grand a piece.

Why didn't they just get you two new ones from hella. Wasn't it a third party claim?

Xenons can be done yourself for far cheaper and arguably far better.

By the way. Depo sells lenses for the e39. Maybe something to look at.
