The car drives so well now there's a 90% chance it will be my daily. It's even a pleasure to drive the car in traffic.
Peter did a splendid job :praise::praise::praise: worth every cent.

1200km Update:

Been using the car everyday and everything still going smooth. The forged high-compression pistons have made such a huge difference, the car is just begging to be revved to 7000rpm.
Can't wait for the running in period to be over so I can start driving it properly.

Lebu, may i ask what you used to clean the motor and gearbox, anything special or just engine cleaner and tons of elbow work(100 hours worth)

Green Kleen, Prepsol, nylon brush, steel wool, pressure hose and lots of elbow grease. Some parts had to be washed 3-4 times over a few days to get the baked in grime out.

6000km update:

About a 1000km's ago the Z went in for its 5000km running in service. Compression test passed and valve clearances were all good.
I use the car a lot more now, it's smooth and the power is just crazy (very tail happy). The lighter high compression pistons have really made the s50b32 come alive and you really need to keep an eye on the rev counter because 7400rpm comes very quickly in 1st and 2nd. I must be honest that this is the first time I'm really enjoying this car ever since I've had it.

The not so good is the rear tyre life span. Luckily 17" tyres are not so expensive :).
Lastly the mall oil leak we've had on the vanos housing will be a thing of the past as Uncle Pete has found the cause and will be sorting it out.
