Who is going to march on Friday the 7th April - now Wednesday 12 April

i looks like the middle class is pretty colour blind...but it seems the lower end is very angry...i think they are being used in my humble opinion..and we should be focusing on building the country. Nelson Mandela had a different vision to what they have...they want to see all white people suffer & poor. As a person of colour it is also something that i will march against. We all belong here & we all deserve to be able to work hard & provide for our families & enjoy this beautiful country. I don't like the racial issues brewing in the belly of SA. There is no place for it & we must fight it!

This is hate speech as far as I'm concerned :RedNo:

But of course, we pass the buck. Lets blame all of today's 2017 problems on something that happened nearly 400 years ago!

Let's break this down a bit...

...that will see lazy, incompetent and time wasting white citizens of South Africa taking to the streets to protest President Jacob Zuma’s cabinet reshuffling.

Since when did this become a white thing? Is it only white people who disprove of the cabinet reshuffling? My trip to Church Square in Pretoria this morning revealed many black, white, coloured, indian and other protesters camped on the grass in front of the Palace of Justice in preparation for tomorrow. The anti-Zuma preacher was a black man and I commend him for his efforts and success in bringing people of all races together in unity of something they all agree on.

Not only whites...

We note the 06th of April as a painful day in the history of black people marking the arrival of white colonial settlers led by Jan Van Riebeek under the pretence of using Cape Town as a refreshment station on the way to India, what a long refreshment it has been, 365 years later.

Wow.

We reject these anti-Zuma marches on the basis that while we problematize Jacob Zuma’s involvement in the government and its failure to radically change the lives of our people, his is a secondary contradiction, the first point of contradiction is that which can be traced back to the 06th of April 1652, the arrival and invasion of our land by white colonizers.

First, "we reject these marches..." Surely you should be studying or in class instead of attempting to do further damages to our economy on top of what you already have? You have already made our education department a laughing stock of the world and they now sit with even bigger problems on top of those they were already faced with prior to your need of wanting the rich to pay for the poor because the government who promised you free education failed to do so.

Second, for such a strongly anti-western group, you sure have a very western way of spelling the non-existent word "problematize". The Z should be replaced with an S, if that word were to exist at all. We use British English, not American.

Third, the 6th April 1652 was so long ago but I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on the time from your first hand experience of what was happening on that day. You saw the ships arriving yourself, did you?

The problem in South Africa remains white, it is a national question that remains unanswered by the wretched of the earth. We remain an anti-white supremacist, anti-capitalist and anti-patriarchy movement...

Racist. Hate speech. You do nothing for the betterment of the country.

We strongly condemn the appropriation of Fallism by the controversial #ZumaMustFall movement.

So ironic. I wonder who started the whole #MustFall campaigns that have now become an ideology used by almost an entire nation of citizens to make their voices heard.

What is fallism? Another word you invented because you don't know the proper use of language because you were too busy protesting for something that cannot be achieved?

While many black South Africans will be busy at work trying to make a living, there are people who will be exercising on our country’s roads calling for the removal of a black president.

I assure you there will be more black people than white people at those marches because those black people are sick and tired of being taken for a ride, same as the white people. It's a march of unity, not of race.

I also like how you (this supposed self-proclaimed important group of students) are so anti-protests when you are the biggest protesters of the land.

We would like to remind our people that the time has come for us to answer the national question and to answer the call of the dead by congregating in our communities and planning a total shutdown of the country to problematize the absence of radical change in South Africa.

Again, your inner western side is coming out again. More made up words with incorrect regional spelling.

Your "total shutdown of the country" is only going to make you and your parents have to work harder for the next 50 years in order to get your own lives back on track and to recover your own losses. This will affect people of all colour, by the way.

We do not want South Africa saved. We want it destroyed...

Now if you had started your article with this line, we wouldn't have had to read the whole damn thing to understand your stance on what needs to happen and the mindset you employ to achieve change (for the worse of everyone).

Chef I am going to demonstrate where things go wrong.

End quote.

The way I read this is that the writer is anti white supremacist, not anti ALL WHITES.

I have to say that I also am anti white supremacist as I see that type of mentality being closely linked to radical right wing groups like the KKK, and the various German groups that bubble up from time to time.

HOWEVER. With the above said there is in my opinion a heightened sensitivity among "the whites" (here I agree with Coisman, I ain't white:roflol:) because we are continually blamed for all the history over which had no control and which we CANNOT CHANGE.

EDIT... Removing tongue from cheek

If this is indeed the case, then of course there's reasoning there.

But the way his grammar is used says they are supremacists who are anti-white. There's a missing hyphen if otherwise.

:dropjaw: you guys are busy

So who is marching tomorrow as OP asked?

I have to say reading through this thread I have learned a few things, people are blind in what they believe to be the hate for whites and for that reason they will continue vote for a party, or actually a person as the ANC I dont think is that bad, they did managed to get the country into democracy but then also they did managed to get the country to be junk.

I am with some of the guys here, lets focus on the problem at hand, we are junk, crap, meaning nothing, ALL OF US, not only whites but blacks, indians and the other colours how many ever as colour was never my thing. I judge you based on you, not the colour of your skin.

And Chef ,man you deserve a bottle of bells, case in my case. See what I did there, lol. That part where you break down the individual's saying, it was a master piece and thank you for the things you said as it shows that we have managed to start building relationships between all races regardless of the anti whatever that is happening these days. THANK YOU CHEF

It is rather difficult to talk about South African Politics, and not overlap into the race issue.. mainly because of our history..

I repeat what I said in one the discussions on race:-
" institutionalised oppression of people because of their skin colour for over a 100 years cannot be undone in 21yrs.. remember it was physical, mental and most importantly economic & political ..

this went hand in hand with the teaching of superiority to the white minority, and because it was also legislated (law), most people (white, that is) believed in it, taught it at home and at schools.. the police (including black), lawyers and judges of that time had to enforce it..

in the very same breath the majority (black) taught it at school through "bantu" education, where the black mind was mostly prepared for manual labour and to obey the system as it stood.. to an extent where it would even reach homes, because when your father is mentally enslaved he is likely to preach the same home.. I'm in the legal profession and I can safely say I have encountered clients (black) that would rather be represented by a white colleague (irrespective of knowledge or experience) because he is seen to know better.. SO, MENTAL SLAVERY is still a big mountain to climb.

In a nutshell what was achieved in 1994 was political power, we are still no where near mental and economic shift from the previous regime despite the affirmative action legislation that we have seen in recent past. HE WHO HAS THE GOLD IS KING AND MAKES RULES. The gold and the land is still in the hands of the minority. The only "business" that is known to the majority of black people is with government structures (tenders) but then again who is the actually supplier of goods? who owns the equipment to be used? who owns the land? and, ultimately who makes more out of th same system meant to redress the past?

I think more than anything we are sitting with two challenges in SA: a class war and a racial one. The gap between the poor and the rich is forever growing leading catastrophic results. The gap between black, white, indian and coloured keeps widening due to economic exclusion and other factors hence integration is a challenge.

I'm happy that there is such a platform as our FANATICS where there can be debate for South Africans to hear each others views and engage, most importantly to educate each other in relation to our backgrounds, thoughts, challenges, observations and experiences and to do so in a civilised manner. I have seen other social networks where its just plain war, simply because people focus on winning the debate rather than listening to understand the plight of others.."

INTEGRATE GENUINELY.. Take that aspiring black intern and teach him the ropes, transfer the skill.. Support the government programs for affirmative action in a true sense.. it may start with just empowering 1 previously disadvantaged individual who in turn may be in a position empower through education or otherwise, his or her siblings/cousins, thus braking the cycle of poverty and oppressed mindsets.. take a keen interest and be role player.. one person at a time, one family at a time, one community at a time, etc... it may not come right in our lifetime, but a gradual integration is key..

Unfortunately, the challenge will not be fixed through cut and paste.. It begins with YOU.. It is neither an excuse nor a condonation of what is happening with protests and racism, but people are desperate, they are idle with a lot time on their hands but no job opportunities.. poverty is rife out there (so is laziness) but that's not the point, that it tends to show itself through protests, xenophobia and even racism.. we are generally an angry society with a great disparity in CLASS.."

It's up us to emancipate the next generation as well, because ours is a transitional one.. children tend to become a product of what they are exposed, so we must careful of what we feed them (directly & indirectly).. if the parents do not integrate, they are unlikely to do so.. it is always going to be "US" and "THEM". CHARITY does begin at home.

they are the future of this country, and they are not preoccupied by the past... though they should still be taught about the history and what has been achieved thus far..

I just like to add with this.
I'm not black nor white.
My best friend is a black guy.
There's not an inch of racism in me.
South Africa is a beautiful country.
Just look at the last time we where united, 2010 how amazing was the atmosphere at that time.
It's not a question about race guys.
The government pulls this card all the time when they are wrong to create a division of the country and keep voter loyalty and many that are uninformed fall for this.
ANC is an amazing party.
We cannot forget what they have done with the leadership of nelson Mandela 23 years ago.
We cannot blame the previous regime for why the rand has fallen so badly in this last week. In 1994 the rand was trading at 3.94 to the dollar. Bare that in Mind.
We as a country need to stand up and acknowledge right from wrong.
Jacob Zuma is running this country to the ground.
It is not about the ANC it's about Jacob Zuma, he is the laughing stock of the world.
He needs to be removed.
Our people deserve better.

Big activity at Beyers Naude. Virtually nothing anywhere else along the N1. Couple of people with banners on William Nicol.

Looks like the marches start at 10am to lunchtime

Unfortunately if we had to talk about corruption this will be a 20 pager.
We could talk about everyone from the body coperate lady that's ripping off the complex to the buyers in companies that take bribes.
Although That is wrong it doesn't effect the economy of the nation where over 50 million people suffer all at once.
We have to deal with Jacob Zuma first.
That is priority.
