I think it goes deeper than just an extension of the warranty because when she wants to sell, it will be a 2013 and not a 2014 which will of course impact her asking price. Also given that she had to pay interest on a higher purchase price (without the price being disclosed), she was out of pocket before she even had the car on her drive way. So yes, 5 months extended warranty would be nice, but aren’t they just offering her what she is due?

if 1st registration was 2014, its a 2014 even if the MP was registered in 2013.

Customer care and pr in sa sucks good and proper these days. It would have cost them nothing to apologise of there originally was a mis communication and then explain yes they are willing to give her the 5 months and as she was willing to extend the warranty anyway she would get her value back on the discount.

If explained in an apologetic way im sure any reasonable person would accept, but instead they do the blame game and imply that you cant do anything about it and that honestly would also infuriate me to a point beyond reasonable thought.

I like this and agree.
I do wonder though what was her attitude in all of the engagements, as its a bit suspect to get the cold shoulder on so many fronts.

as to getting discount whithout being told why stinks of false pretenses and is not on, however you cut it. That reasoning does not make it right, BMW should just give her the full year extra and write the loss of as school fees for not being transparent when doing a sale.

Big industry doesn't remember its not about the money its about the principal of the matter and you should always honour your agreement with customers.
