Adi's 2001 BMW E39 M5 -- Silverstone Metallic

I don't know if it's the flu or the fact that you sold this example that is making me sick. As others pointed out, you did what's right for you and kudos to you for knowing when to stop. Apart from the Nav, car and leather colour it looks like we have the exact same spec. It's become apparent how much work is needed to get close to your condition.

Thanks Adi for sharing what OCD can achieve. I'm sure I don't want to know the effect it had on the wallet

I've updated the Chapter 5 posts to have more compressed versions of the pictures.

Sorry, for some reason the image hosting site I used created HUGE image files when converting from iPhone HEIC format.

So the pics should load a lot quicker now, in case you were having trouble viewing them before.

Damn, sad to see that it has a "new owner" however I only wish him well with this beauty, the pics are stunning...the headlights make an insane amount of difference to the front end for sure.

Well done and kudos...so happy to see this car being restored to better than new!

Man what an anti-climax, I really did think you’d bring this car up to perfection and keep it as a bucket list car or to be your endgame.

Looking from the outside this was a labour of love and you pretty much wrote a love letter to this car.

I respect your decision and have even more respect for the amount of time, patience and attention to detail that comes with restoring a car to this level because I am in the middle of a project myself and it constantly tests your sanity on many levels. I sometimes feel sorry for people like us who will not accept anything less than perfection, and when good enough is just not good enough.

I look forward to following your next project and hope that you find your endgame car or cars with which you will enjoy well into your retirement years.

My word.....this is something else. Cannot believe you sold it. One damn lucky buyer to have a car that close to perfection if not Perfect already.

I do however think we need to get some sessions booked for you with a shrink.
