Road Trip - Top Gear festival 14-16 June GP to KZN

Who needs a lift down to Durban and back for the weekend of 14th June (and Dubrun) and is willing to split costs?

I will be heading to the Umdloti area (north coast) but am willing to drop-off anywhere in the vicinity.

I will be leaving the Total Petroport just outside of Alberton on the N3 south at around 06h00. Meeting the Dubrunners there at 05h00. And will be travelling back on Tuesday 18th June, leaving Durban at around 12h00.

Not everyone has a powerful RWD car, so he needs to join the Dub guys so that the oil spilt from those cars can help him lose traction and enjoy the rear end sliding out a bit more. :rollsmile:


On a serious note, this is still open for discussion with the guys that are coming. The initial feeling was that if there are 80-100 VW cars and <10 BMW's, we may just get lost in the crowd and pulling into a garage at the same time is going to be very, very hectic and busy.

Not sure if anyone took pics, I have some crappy ones with my phone and the only others are of Devons and my car, who was the massive convo to Dbn. 2 x 135is.. Actually looks quote cool.

Be that as it may, we met with with the kzn fanatics who wre really great and welcoming, actually had a blast, we met at the meeting spot then went to the spot spot..lol. Was very cool actually, nice to see a bunch of BMW amongst all those golfs.

On our way to spot no2, we had an epic run with about 6/7 cars. Then at the spot Devon creamed a 650i properly, and before that the hot modded white 330d did the same to the 650.

Nice meeting all you kzn chaps, definitely be back soon. Thank you again for been pretty awesome.
