OBC CHECK CONTROL

:spit: My obc shows only orange squares when I press check. Have seen other older cars show different stuff(check ok) heard there is a way to unlock it. Spent hours scouring the net, NOTHING. I can almost reprogram the f%=:king thing except this! Have 18 button obcII. Car is Sept 98. E36. Help guys. If you need help with any other functions EXCEPT this, please ask.
