What's the difference between this oneand the one that eg Carbon130's got? (The one with the display at 12:00 and buttons at 11:00 and 13:00?)

This one doesn't have the display at 12:00 and buttons at 11:00 and 13:00.

:hammerhead: Ok, let me rephrase: What makes to have a R15k price tag while it is standard (but with a different design) and suede wrapped?

I got a price from BMW SA for the electronic one - R12 500 excl. VAT

However, i contacted Dan at United BMW in the US, he will send me one for $975 USD + $75USD postage

So thats $1050 = R7875 (then add a bit for customs duty etc)

Considerably cheaper indeed

guys think customs is a joke :)

"A BIT" is 42% of the value you paid.. So it still takes the price over 10k, which is crazy for steering wheel imo.

I thought it was only 20%?

Oh well, yes i agree its a shyte load of money for a steering wheel for sure

I would buy it if i had the cash just lying around though, i reckon its trick

yeh, theres duties, vat and clearance costs
They all add up to about 42% of the value, that u have to hand over to customs fellas
If u need a clearing agent, thats an additional cost

If there was enuf interest, we could get a better deal from bmwsa, but it still wnt be unda 10k

Shiny :), but I think I'd find the lights distracting,

Still no official pricing here, but I see in the US the Non-electronic verion cost about 60% of the electronic version, if the same pricing holds true for SA then the Non-electronic one will be around 7K here.

I don't think the "boy racer" look will work well in my car... Maybe if they made a porno wooden one??? Ha ha ha
