Legacy you are out of line. This subject is closed, done an dusted. And if this goes on I will close this thread.

I've found there's a "mob mentality" on this forum ( Not like the yobo's in the UK)

But your post sums it up, if someone puts a pic up of something they have done to their car and the first two or three posts have negative things to say about it, everyone seems to just jump on the bandwagon and flame!:blab:

i have to aggree,if some one does something outragous to his car he gets slammed down about.

the thing is if i dont like something then i give my opion but also give a tumbs up as it that persons car ,and what he likes is all that counts.

i was into vw for a long time and i still havent seen things done on a bm as they do it in the performance vw and golf+ magazines.

also what i would like to do on my bm,i dont think the guys on here would want to be seen with me or the car,but it would be different

Some very good comments and suggestions have come out of this thread. I like the last comment by "herr bmw" in particular and we all need to take responsibility to protect a high level of regard for one another when we share & post our stories & pictures.

What we sometimes encounter on this forum is not very different from other forums that we also visit. Almost every forum now have "rules" that deal with forum behaviours & attitudes and as forums grow and new members join we often forget these basic values. Thats why we have admin & mods to remind us of those precepts and hold us accountable. But at the same time we need to show the desired respect for the decisions made by mods & between admin & mods. From my perspective, I do sense a high standard of respect amongst members but we do have the occasional negativity and mods & admin have to assist us with identifying these instances.

I sometimes think that forum members forget about the notion of community. They forget that the reason we spent all the time on the forum is because it is a place where we feel we belong; we feel can make the lives of other people better; where we share not only information but our needs, fears, ambitions, longings and aspirations - infact we share our lives with one another - which is surely the meaning of "community".

I know that Nic and the webmaster is working on a "shoutbox" plug-in; in addition to the "staff room" where admin/mods can alert and communicate with each other more easily and promptly when concerns or issues arise.

Admin and Mods will be discussing some of the concerns raised in this thread in the coming week and I agree with Freerider that we now need to leave moderation to the admin and the mods and lend them our support.

We have some big projects in the pipe line such as the website & fanatics shop and a project that starts with an "M" as well as some big sponsors which is planning to come onboard...so we need to garner all the support for our admin/mods and of course give our members the best this forum can offer.

Finaly, I agree with Jandre that it is best to close this thread and for admin/mods to manage their concerns in their own staff room going forward. I am sorry if this appears as censuring this thread but admin/mods are now working through the matters for an adequate resolve.
