So, after getting the :fishwack: :nonono: from the administrator with the Dirty Harry emotion...(sorry dude, don't remember your name right at this moment, but you are a stand-up, giveanoobachance kinda guy:ty:...) Im back, to post my obligatory 10 posts (considering that my thread appears to have been deleted...do those 3 posts count? )...because I don't want to upset the Rule Infringement Police. What I hope you guys will understand about me is that I have a very dry, often sarcastic sense of humour...most of the time only I find myself funny...so if you can handle/appreciate/not ban me because of this, I will be glad to participate more regularly...

You want to know what PISSES ME OFF even more than your post being deleted?????
The fact that me making decisions as a moderator are CONSTANTLY being questioned, and overturned!!!!!!!!!!! :censored: :banghead: :cursin:
I dont know why I was appointed as a moderator, if every time I make a judgement call about something, someone finds something wrong with it!!! and then goes off and make it so that my choice gets pushed aside, and like I said... overturned!!! :argh: :fishwack: :nonono:
F#^%*@^()#$% !!!!!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!!
I think I might as well resign as a moderator!!!!!!!!!

Dude, what its about for me is to give everyone a chance.
Now for all we know out of your own stupidity, and for being new on the forum, you didn't quite know about the 10 posts thingy, so we informed you about it, you said you're sorry, and I thought it was ALL cool, just to find out later our post was INDEED deleted... SERIOUSLY!! :dunno:
So what if you were/are a potential investor in bmwfanatics, wanting to become a forum sponsor in the near future, now you were so pissed off from being deleted, that you feel, "screw this kak forum!" and we would have lost.
I PERSONALLY think that we can be lenient, and SHOULDN'T be questioned, if a moderator has ALREADY made a judgement call on a certain matter!!!.
RANT OVER! :)

I hear what you saying Cois and agree as well, mods discretion should be utilised. This is after all a forum where like minded motorheads do converge for "shits & giggles" and not a concentration camp.

Of late there does appear to be a subtle change in the "feel" of the forum, where some individuals think it fine to mock and belittle other members who do not share the same views/opinions and preferences as themselves. If you are a person who fastiduosly maintains your car to oem standards or someone who chooses to run racing stripes over your car, both members should be afforded the same courtesy.

A little bit of courtesy and common sense goes a long way...

Nicely summed up guys.....a lot of our members need a rethink on their attitude and approach towards fellow members. I read Coisman's post on Sportpack's thread and thought that he showed good sense and dealt with it correctly.

The point is that the thread in question was against the rules, thats it. The rules are there for a reason and as the forum grows, and it has grown a lot, the rules need to be implemented more stringently, that is the way things work.

For the thread in question is not about anyones' opinions about what looks good and what does not, the facts are the following:

You are not alowed to post something for sale until you have reached 10 posts. Full stop!

Hence this specific thread was in violation of the forum rules and needs to be removed. This is not Gumtree remember!

(Oh and isn't questioning Admin decisions in open forum against the rules as well??) :fencelook::fencelook::fencelook:

@ Sank, I agree that rules exist for a reason and needs to be enforced where necessary . Some discretion is also good and hence the reason for having Mods. It's been a while since I 1st registered on the forum and I cannot recall being made aware of the forum rules when signing up (might be my bad memory). Maybe, as Administrator you could look into this and as part of the sign up process get new members to read and acknowledge forum rules before being allowed to post. In some other forums, there are 'sticky' threads that appear on all forum pages that new and old members can refer to where necessary. Hope my suggestion is useful.

Ok, seriously, now enough is enough!!!!!
FIRSTLY: Fact is by the time his thread was deleted, he was only 7 posts away from LEGALLY placing his add!!
SECONDLY: If I as a moderator, is ALREADY adressing an issue, then I feel the other moderators should BUG OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIRDLY: If such moderator does not agree with my way of handling any particular issue, THEN PM ME!!!!!! Dont just go OVEER my head and do what you think is right!!! This is after all a democratic site I hope, where I feel my skills as a moderator SHOULD NOT BE QUESTIONED or OVER-RIDDEN!!!!!!!
FOURTHLY: Terms of the forum and rules of the forum are known by me, and to be deligated or reminded of such rules around every corner is BULL!!!!!!!!! Let me moderate as I see fit!!!!! If you don't like my way, then PM me, or PM the forum Administrators and report me!!! All rules are open to leneancy, as the moderator has the final say.
FIFTHLY: This is NOT suppose to be discussed in this forum!!!!! :)
