New addition to the family

Hey,

So I decided to make a little addition to my garage by getting a 2003 BMW 330ci Auto Convertible F/L.

In terms of the body, shes pretty neat and tidy, no major dents or scratches. I think a good detail will bring out the shine.

Interior is also in fairly good condition. Seats just need a good leather treatment.

Roof is working perfectly, only issue is that the inside roof lining near the rear seats is hanging, hopefully that wont be too expensive to sort out.

I also notice the key deactivates and reactivates the alarm and opens and locks the passenger door and boot with exception to the drivers side, so for now I'm forced to open and lock using the key.

Had to do some work on her already as I bought it with some known/visible problems:

- replaced control arms
- replaced complete rack ends
- replaced shock links
- replaced all four brake discs and pads
- replaced all four tyres
- did a brake fluid flush
- replaced rear shocks and mounts
- replaced diff bushing
- replaced propshaft bearing/bushing
- replaced window switch
- Service - Oil, Oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, cabin filter & plugs
- replaced bonnet badge
- replaced front shock mounts

Still plan to do a gearbox service and probably decat soon :)

Please feel free to comment and provide advice as I've never had an E46 before.

Awesome car, congrats. I had one about 7 or 8 years ago. Also a 2003. Did you buy it from someone in EL by any chance? The guy that bought mine put M6 mags on and they just didn't suit the car. Wondering if it's the same one I had

Why does everyone love the E46 330i more than the E90? The E90 is newer and also NA (and more powerful) and I gather that the engine is more reliable

E46 in general, is a better car to drive than the e90 (excluding the boosted models) ...the m54 engine is also more reliable than the n52.

It also costs about half as much to maintain an E46, compared to what it will cost you on an E90

Lovely car, Congrats on the new addition,

I like how you took so much effort to blank out the number plates then left it open on the last one lol

Hi,

For me it was more of the look, I've always been a fan of the soft top E46. I owned a 325i E92 and up till today I still miss that car. My F30 is awesome but I simply just love the E92.
