This man has reason. There's a lot more to a 7 than the looks.

Drive one and you'll forget about the exterior completely :)

hahaha, wasnt this what people who bought the bangle-ized pre LCI E65 said too??

Post E38 BMW 7 Series Slogan:

"Nice inside, but ugly AF ®"

It appeals to some. It has a strong presence wherever you see it. And yes, the inside of that car set the benchmark of "affordable luxury" back when it came out. When I say affordable, I mean compared to the Rolls and Bentleys of the time. Owners wanted it for the seats and the silence, not how good it would look in a photo shoot.

fair enough.....7 is designed for a different market altogether

i think it goes with my theory that posh people never did have style anyway ;)

So what you are saying is the 7 series is losing its BMW heritage, and turning into an S-class clone?

No.

The 7-series was never designed to hold BMW heritage, hence their kak resale values. If you want heritage, you want an older ///M or 333i or 2002 or something.

The S-class is nowhere near as comfortable as a 7, in my opinion. I have driven both, of many different models.

You have obviously never seen the 7-series documentary called "The Transporter". It stars an e38, and has Jason Statham in a supporting role:

Clearly, the 7er is meant for driving.
