Awesome car buddy.

I'm busy working on something to get myself one of those! I see one advertised:
2013 335i, M Performance, M exhaust, M Sport. 55000kms on the clock. for R425000. BMW premium selection. Balance of Mplan.

Priced right you think? or could I get a bit more off that?

Cheers!

Been monitoring the oil temp since the fix and it is definitely running cooler than before. It sometimes hits exactly 120 when pushed very very hard and then cools off very quickly back to one notch below as per the pic below.

Been a while again.. I could not stand the glossy look the interior had developed with using Leather Products on it, so it has been restored as close as I could to the Factory Matt look like the day I collected the car.

I used a shoe brush and warm water and a micro fiber cloth to dry, no other products on the leather anymore.

Photos taken with my phone, no flash and no filters. I am quite pleased with how my car looks again. :=):

Been a while again, car is treating me fine, few small niggles but all good overall.. Still puts a smile on my face

I could not stand the dirty brakes and suspension, so decided it is time again.. Took me about 2 hours, time well spent, not perfect but good enough to drive the car around again without feeling embarrassed!

Some befores:

Car is looking great. Miss the coral red interior. Had it on my 435. Was never a fan of red interiors but it really looks good on the 3 and 4 series

Awesome, what products were making it glossy?

I love the look of clean disks and calipers, with matching arches...

Been such a busy week, only saw the question now.. I cleaned the parts firstly with Kitchen Degreaser, did not want to try a stronger product as there is rubber/plastic parts and then secondly I used about 1/3 bottle of Shield's Wash & Wax.. The glossy look was this while it was still drying :coolShake:

I like to keep it clean, also cleaned the diff, exhaust box and rear suspension parts, but was a bit cold lying under the car, so again not a perfect job. I also put some wax paste on the inside of the rims, but they are already dirty again, I never win with the brake dust!

Thanks for the comments guys, took her for a very spirited drive this evening and damn I have forgotten how well she sounds in a tunnel with the exhaust flap open at WOT, makes me smile  Good car this, it gets you in touch with your soul when driven well! :blowheart:

Nice work! I need to do some maintenance on mine as well. Disks look a little rusty

Definitely worth while to get under the car and clean things up well, also good to spot things which might need attention. As said I used kitchen degreaser, nothing too strong and worked well..

Thanks guys, appreciate! She hit 80k kms last week.. Nothing wrong with the car, think the front shocks might be getting some wear now, will have her at BMW soon for a few items I need sorted..

So my grills were plastidipped black some time ago, it did not last, faded and chips started to show. Not wanting to pay R2k for gloss grills I decided about a month ago to just sand and spray mine, worse case I can then buy a OEM set if I stuff it up.. But truth be told, came out okay, I am happy..

Removing the grill is easy, 5 min job.. Also gave me the opportunity to clean behind the grill and the radiator and intercooler got a nice scrub as well..

So I struggled with the plastidip, in my opinion it is not a product that will last given my experience.. I sanded the grills, sprayed with plastic primer, 2 coats matt black, 2 coats clear lacquer..

Obviously OEM gloss black is best, but this is close and I had all the paint, so it cost me nothing but some time :smilebounce:

If I may ask, how did you remove the grills? I need to fit a gloss black set to my car but have no clue how to go about doing it?

TIA

Very easy process Bud. You remove the rubber covering the bumper, there will be 6 torx screws to remove, just screw them loose then the bumper will pull forward, you can them get your hand in there to unclip the tabs on the back of the grill, there are also 6 I think then you just gently pull the grill out once they are all unclipped.

Here is a youtube video on it

I followed those instructions the first time, but it's actually possible to just undo the clips from the front and pull out. Helps if you have another set for reference as to where the clips are.
