M2 or M235i

Whilst one may get a discount later , the price increase nullifies the benefit . Besides , why would one take ownership of vehicle in November /December and lose out on future resale values too. For me , it's a matter of principle . I paid deposit in July 2015 . I was given a written commitment for first allocation to build . Then the dealership gets taken over by another dealership. The new dealership and BMWSA wrangling on who should take responsibility . I got a call today from the Competitions Commisionar , whom I had informed too about the dealership sale . Ruffling some feathers maybe might help. Why should we consumers always be taking the brunt of these mega dealers.

That's why you be sneaky and run Temps till January if u take delivery late in the year ... hehe but I do get where you are coming from, since I've been trying so hard now to get hold an M2 I've realised how some dealers really take you for a ride. Well carry on with you ruffing of feathers because it may just help you out.

Besides me being helped out , am hoping some standard is set for a transparent allocation / ordering system for future .

How does that work if SA is not even building the car....Germany not knowing how many cars to be built...and where to be shipped?

That's strange in my opinion....

Or does your statement means they promised that you will get one of the first cars delivered to SA?

The dealership committed to me getting the first allocation to build that BMWSA affords the dealership whenever the allocations open up in South Africa .

The wait is slowly killing me now, feels like forever waiting for the emails to say I have an allocation or a car.

The wait has already "killed " me . I have 53 email correspondences between me and BMWSA . Regretfully , I am not any closer now then I was before engaging with BMW on my promised first allocation to build. I have prepared a 100 plus page report detailing in chronological order , my experiences around the shenanigan business of allocations and order lists and waiting lists . The competitions Comissioner asked me to compile my dossier on the run around I am getting from the dealerships and BMW head office . The only thing left is to sue the dealership. By the time the case gets heard in court , the hype will be down and cars will become available with discounts. Not sure that even if I win, whether I will be able a to claim legal fees . Besides one does not need to force a dealership through a court order to sell you a car . Just makes no sense .

I went to go have a look at the only black Demo that arrived so far and it absolutely stunning. In my opinion, way better looking than any other BMW currently. And the black is an outright winner in my eyes, not a fan of the LLB versions.

The smile on my face while staring at this car just reassured me how badly I want it.

Spotted this one at Zambezi Auto, earlier... Such a beautiful car. I despise that the dealership parks all of the cars with their lights turned on all night

Why do they do that? Waste battery and can't be great for the car?

I believe they do it just because it makes for a cool display. I'm not sure if the cars are plugged in somehow, to power the lights, like the demo displays in public areas usually are.

I just think it's unnecessary and puts wear on a brand new cars' electrical system before somebody buys it...

i would really love this car is Yas blue
Not sure if you are referring to the pictures I posted but that blue is long Beach blue. It's looks almost like estoril blue here but in real life it's very turquoise. Still beautiful either way.
