Hey guys.

Picked up 2 codes on my 135 which isn't tuner codes.
2CED - No Description Found
2D22 - No Description Found

From the little research I've done online, it seems to be related to the catalytic converter. Anyone have these codes before and resolved it?

Hi, have a look here for the description of your codes, these are for N55 only...

Hi Fanatics

I need your help!!!

I recently bought a secondhand JB4 which did not come with the BMS USB cable. It has been install and running on Map 5 but I feel that the vehicle may not be setup properly. Recently I had to replace the coolant reservoir as it was leaking out the top (think out the gasket). I would like to do the following updates and logs:

Firstly I would like to log the vehicle such that I can see that everything is running fine.
Secondly, I have the G5 board and I want to do the ISO update, is it recommended?

Will anyone be willing to assist me or lend me a USB cable, I am based in Durban. Drinks will be provided

Do you have the new OBDII CAN BUS cable? If so - holding in the BC button on the left stalk will enable menu selection. (search on Youtube - plenty vids)

If not, and the CAN BUS wires are connected using positaps (as in the e series) then you will be able to change maps using the steering controls as previous, but little else.

There is a way to tap your OBDII port using positaps to enable the full steering controls, there is a pic on the n54tech forum.

Sup guys

I am getting a stick wastegate error intermittently. Any idea what could cause this and what a possible resolution may be?

Also whats a fair maximum boost request on stock turbo?

Thank you

Hi, will there be a major power difference with a jb4 on a z4 35is(250kw)as compared to the normal 225kw N54.
You can see a difference if between 40 to 50wkw with the jb4. So yes definately a difference. Pop us email to [email protected]. we can hook you up with a jb4 and we have charge pipes which have arrived specifically for the Z4s as well.

I have a G4 board and would like to know if my USB Cable will still work on the G5 board when I upgrade or do I need to replace that as well?

Back to the top for easy reading for new X35 owners. Please feel free to post your questions here and we will assist where possible.

For the guys that have updated firmware on n54 jb4s to 32.6b and are experiencing problems with misaligned needles when in the JB4 menus, please do the following in the menus

335 metric - menu 5-3
135 metric - menu 5-4
1m metric - menu 5-5
m3 cluster users - menu 5-7

Afternoon Gents,

Got me some error codes.
Driving to Zwartskop this morning whilst overtaking i feltbfelt the car struggling in the upper rev range, then Boom Engine light but car was still drive-able.

Got back to my office and ran the codes and got the following:

Car has the following mods:
Downpipe
Chargepipe
ForgeDV's
BMS DCI's
JB4 G5 ISO with latest firmware update

Cleared the codes and drove the car till warm then Dropped the hammer, car pulled brilliantly got home and ran codes again and nothing....nada.....zero.

I did get the 2C7B and 2C7C codes before, i thought nothing of it, cleared the codes and ran all good till today, this is the first time i got the 30FF Code and 2D2E codes.

Anybody got suggestions as to where i should start looking.
I am going to log the car tomorrow afternoon and send the logs to Twins.
Also going to check Chargepipe

But any more info as to where else i can check would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Guys

2d2e is charge pipe related.

Remove the charge pipe, clean the sensors on it as well with maf cleaner.

As preventative, check the sensor and clean the one on the intake manifold as well.

Check the charge pipe for cracks and check that the o ring that sits in the charge pipe is properly seated and there.

Moving to 30ff, all vacuum lines need to be replaced and checked. The OEM ones become very brittle and develope hairline cracks and break on the tips.

For the 30ff, i would check:

- Boost/vacuum cannisters
Vacuum lines , all of them
- Charge Pipe
- Silicon that clamps on to the Charge Pipe.
- Dvs must be seated correctly and not damaged or leaking.

Lambs sensors you can reset the codes with jb4 or mhd and reset adaptations with MHD.

Finally update your hex of your jb4 to the lastest version and post your user adjustments setting here.

Then run logs and post it here as well when you done with everything.

Someone will pick it up and comment thereafter
