Thats very common. Happens on stock cars too.

The CPe is aso known for blowing off because it does not mount to the engine bay.

But try it & keep us updated.

Try and use t clamps if you up ing the boost whilst using the CPE. The stocks clamps it comes with always give way. Trust me I've been through the hassle.

I have had it for a while and had no issues but not high boost

I am a little confused as to how you would use a t clamp on a metal pipe ? Do you put it over the c clamp so it doesn't pop off ?

It's doesn't pop where it connects to intake manifold. It's pops on the silicone hose that's connected to up pipe from the cooler. If you secure it there properly, then you good to go.

Ps...don't forget to transfer the O ring from oem charge pipe to the cpe

Hi!

What is the benchmark figures for a N55 135i with JB4? I dyno'd my stock 135i at KAR and made 200.2wkw and 4xxnm which the guys said seemed healthy. Haven't dyno'd since the JB4 but am curious to know what I should be aiming for.

Hey, I am looking for some help with install on my 2010 N55 135i.
I bought a second hand JB4 off the forum and have installed twice now which resulted in me uninstalling twice... It does include a flex fuel adapter so not sure if that is contributing to the issue.

Essentially I connect everything, and then try to start the car. It starts but comes up with an engine light right away. I have what sounds like a misfire but not quite a miss... Hard to explain.

Reading the logs, two get registered:
29e2 and 2c58.

Turn off and revert the install and all is hunky dory again. No issues at all.

I am suspecting something is not 100% kosher with the harness I got or the connections that are made but would like to find out if anyone has had these issues? Perhaps point me in a general direction to troubleshoot would be great!

Hello, are you based in Jozi? There is an installer, Dewald Hurn, very good and also very reasonable. Google him. He did mine on the same spec and year as yours.

Thanks, will do.

I've got it installed for the 3rd time now :p
Worked. Closed the DME box, works. Cable tie the harness, works. Put back the drip tray, works. Add back the AFE airbox, click click, engine light...

Definitely a connection on one of the sensors that's not perfect methinks...

Hey bud.

Do the following. If it's iso. Update the unit to the latest iso.

Install again. But don't install the flex fuel wires and also don't Install the maf sensor. But do the rest. Just tape it up and and test.

Thanks for the advice guys! Sorted ;)

I did a latest ISO update and then realized there was two hairline cracks on the insulation of the TMAP sensor for the JB loom. Taped those up and I'm boosting away on Map 5 :)
