Ok so I got JB4 fitted about 3 weeks ago - car ran great... Bought it second hand from someone off the forum. loved it then all of a sudden this weekend my car gave me check engine (half) so I stopped and restarted my car no check engine but no boost. So I thought maybe JB changed maps somehow ? Nope... still on map 5 drive home (boostless - was horrific) and read some codes.

2C57 - 2C90 - 28A0
All intake and charge pipe codes
36FD
No idea what this code is - couldn't find anything on the net

Checked that the JB was properly connected. Cleared codes. Reset the sensors on the car. Unplugged the battery for 20 mins. Tried the car again still no boost. Looked for leaks couldn't find anything.

Took out my JB last night and now my car runs perfect. No codes and boosting properly. I read on another forum same thing happened to a guy and it was faulty JB unit so will have to get mine checked out.

My JB has the ISO mod done by the previous owner and I think there are 2 new updates.

Any advice would be appreciated

It's definitely an unusual problem, have you contacted the seller of the car to find out where he got the jb from? Have you troubles hooted since?

Check boost pipes maybe one just blew off somehow its happened to me a few times

Took out my JB last night and now my car runs perfect. No codes and boosting properly. I read on another forum same thing happened to a guy and it was faulty JB unit so will have to get mine checked out.

Don't buy second hand tunes if it cannot be verified on date of purchase.

Funny...I have nearly the same car, same year and mileage and I am also located in Joburg (Benoni).

Can you sent me a quote and a dealer who is able to install and also maintain/upgrade in case of problems in my area?

Unfortunately non of the dealers are friendly towards aftermarket mods on a car on Motorplan, sending your car with any aftermarket accessory or performance modification runs the risk of the dealer finding it and voiding your plan.
