Ga-3M in for vanos rattle clearances

Gents been driving this afternoon and all I can say is if you have an S54 you have to, actually it should be compulsory, to book it in at Axis Engine Works and have the vanos and clearance work done and let Peter work his magic!
I thought the car pulled well before and had a sweet engine but it is now just that much sweeter!! It is so smooth throughout the rev range and the responsiveness is awesome! I can see now what Peter meant when he spoke about the smoothness of the S54 from the factory, my car now feels how it should!:praise:

Thanks again to Peter and Alex for the work done:ty:

The pics get more detailed every time. It's so good to watch these legend cars get saved. That S54 is simply spectacular.

Good Work Peter and congrats Gareth!

Andy as you well know I am passionate about the M motors as I believe that BMW created engineering art in putting them together.

We have specifically taken close ups and have explained the faults so that owners of these engines may appreciate the condition in which their cars are operating and STILL delivering incredible power for what is ostensibly a sick motor.

I get too much light bounce to accurately photograph the "rattle kit" so that users may see how the needle bearings score the disc.
(You will recall the pattern on your discs,I wonder whether you may be able to experiment and try and take some pics?)

On the next one we do if the owner allows I will post pics of the "rattle kit" as it comes out the spline shaft I doubt though our success in showing the wear pattern.

I think we may well need "Divio's" services for that shoot

Or Crash for that matter ( that is if I can get him away from his new script where he is writing a special part for me and guess what I shall be portrayed with manicured hands)

Plate seals changed

All the stuff that makes the engine go Booom fitted

Part of the stuff that tells the engine how well it went Booom.

And there she is all ready to impress her caring owner.

Certainly impressed me.

send me the disks Im good at taking pics of shiny things

I have none of them as they all go back to the owners along with the seals etc.
Only things I discard are oil filters.

I have a special M3 coming in over the weekend and I will try and photograph the discs......my other other son is also up from Durban by the sea over this weekend and he is pretty good with a camera so will bribe him for a few pics.

You know I just cant get enough of peering into the engineering genius that is these ///M motors! Just by looking at them one can tell its something special, and by the small things that go wrong and yet it still performs it just resonates that fact.
Then there is the genii that brings this level to the public!
Thank you! :praise:
Gareth, I am jealous and I need a ride in that beast. uh thank you
