Hahahaha! Clearly you don't go to the track then!dlk001 said:BMW has never voided motorplan for driving a car around a track. That is like saying BMW will void motorplan for driving 335i at 250kph. They are built for that purpose.

So the guy's under motorplan who take their cars to the track block out the vin and remove their plates and tax disc for weight reduction? Hahaha you must be new here...

Alpina is a aftermarket tuning house who turbocharged NA engines.

You are confusing yourself. Now you concede that BMW M owners exploit their cars on track days. Guys track their M cars and exploit them and BMW has never voided motorplan. Show me instances where BMW cancelled motorplan because owner drove it around a track? Next thing you will be saying BMW will void motorplan if you drive an X5 offroad.
BMW expects owners to take their M-cars to track days. This is what BMW says about M-Cars.

Gizmo said:From your statements it's clear you have never owned a bmw under motorplan, or you just sign legal documents without reading them...There is a clause that's says you are not allowed to use it in any form of motorsport, if found doing so then motorplan is void....but hey, don't believe me, come to your first bmw track day and find out for yourself...
We have never had an issue with a Motorplan being suspended or cancelled as a result of attending one of our track days.
As I understand it, BMW Motorplan reserves the right to reject a specific claim if there is evidence of driver abuse. What constitutes that evidence is not up to any of us but BMW Motorplan, and I assume would vary on a case by case basis.
As a precaution, some members do blank off their licence plates, licence disc and VIN numbers at the track days. I believe this is more about their insurance policies than Motorplan, hence we worked very hard on arranging track use insurance for our members that is available currently. The concern of tyre use again is more of an insurance concern than Motorplan, however if the incorrect tyre size is used with the incorrect rolling circumference this may have a negative effect on the drive train and increase wear on certain components.
I hope this answers your question, I cannot provide much more information on the subject than this.
Kind regards,
