F30 320i engine sound

Hi all

Maybe it is just me, but my F30 320i has the worst engine note ever.

Especially under hard acceleration it really does not sound like a 4 cylinder turbo can sound. I mean, my previous GTI sounded a lot better. Then you get something like the A45AMG that really sounds quite hot under full throttle and wonder why BMW just did not bother with the engine note.

Does the 328i sound any different?

No, 328 sounds the same. Its a bit unfair to compare the 320\328 to a A45 don't you think?

AFAIK, the MY14 cars come with the fake induction sound

320i is not a performance based car, GTi and A45 are...

lol sport mode sounds quite nice pity the fuel needle goes in the wrong direction quite quickly. My manual has a nice grunt in sport mode at from around 5000 rpm. Fit an arkraprovix exhaust if you got the bucks the sound is awesome

The A45 is just used as an example to show what a 4 cylinder turbo can sound like.

I have a 2014 model, so I do not think so?

I quite enjoy the sound that mine makes... think its demon! I plan to do the performance exhaust soonish too.
