Ettiene is too scared to come to my place.
My work schedule gets in the way!!
Find me a good bumper, whatsupp me prices and we can do it.

But seriously, branche and exhaust first on tje list mod wise, I just want to do a "stage 0" and get everything on par before releasing some extra ponies.

Speak to Steven Cool for a front bumper. I got an aftermarket plastic one from him for a really good price and fitment was good too.

Car is coming along nicely. Loves these e46s.

Btw we can assist with an aftermarket mtech 2 bumper as well. I have in stock.

Quick update,

Bought some service item:

75cd88a7a9888d985498d9d123106a5c.jpg

Serviced the car even though she was serviced right before me taking delivery of her.

Did an extensive oil flush, she was service like less than 800km age before I took delivery, drained that oil and fitted a new GUD oil filter and BMW oil. Drove approx 750 km and drained the oil again.

Fitted a new filter again, this time a BMW filter and BMW oil.

Original oil was a touch too dark to be only 1000k' old and the filter looked worse for wear..look hiw much cleaner the 2nd oil filter is after the initial flush..

Air filter was obviously changed out

Next was the fuel filter and yes, BMW and every guy who serviced her didn't bother to change such a simple and crucial item!

Jip, made in 2004.
Check out the crap that came out of the filter

Nexted up was the spark plugs.

Used NGK and not BMW plugs as I get my plugs and very good price from our local AutoZone..
Old plugs were Bosch plugs and were toast.

All the plugs looked evenly weared but cyl number 3 and some oil on it...

Last thing I did was change out the broken window switch.
Called up Mnr. John Lodder and gave me a good price in the part. ( Louis the parts is about to block me from his mailling list Im sure of it. Been bothering on various parts this whole week so far).

I think its safe to say that fuel filter has done it's job.

Yeah but it kinda scares me to think that whilst this car had a fsh a bmw from new to 100kkm and serviced at an indy till 199kkm and not one guy thought to himself " hey, lets change the fuel filter" .

Here is a pic of cyl no:3. See the slight accumulation of oil?

Forgot to add that the PO changed the radiator but me being slighty OCD, I went ahead and ordered a new water pump, thermostat, coolant reservoir and rear shock mounts reinforcement plates from AXIS Motorsport (thanks Sean)

Will install the front reinforcement plates (OEM BMW) and rear plates when I install the new dampers.

the damn to do list is just getting longer and longer..

Nice one mate. I know what you mean about the list getting longer.

My window switch was also toast, managed to get the wife to bring one back from the UK while she was there. At least with my fuel filter, everything that came out was clean, and mine is diesel.

So I want to respray my front bumper as its damaged to sh1t underneath and a couple of ducts, screws and trim missing.

Got a qoute from our local panelbeater and jeez...its expensive.

I do not want a Mtech bumper before anyone suggest I go that route.

Final price will come out at just under R28k.

Is that too high or what?

Get in touch with Kuvi@VPSRandburg (not sure where you're located)

But they doing good work and well priced so maybe get him to take a look

^yeah I also got a qoute from Kuvi but my insurance already approved it at my panelbeater here in Thabazimbi.

FYI my panelbeater will be replacing the whole bumper etc

Yea as soon as you replace the bumper and fender liners etc with OEM parts, the cost shoots up.

^true. But it would look stupid if done any other way imo.
Waiting for a reply from the shop regarding paint type the will be using, are they gonna blend and/or polish the car (I hope not, don't trust anyone with a polisher near any of our cars!)

Okay so she will be going in for the bumper repairs beginning of next month.
Hoping the will do a good job.

Sadly its not going to Kuvi but our local panelshop. ( I always try and use forum sponsers etc when possible)

So went to yesterdays dyno day.

Totally stock with 201kkm on the odo.
125wkw is....okay I guess.
That dip just after 4k rpm is seen on all M52 and M54 motors. Ive checked, kept me up all night reading/searching various forums etc

Oh, and there was a guy asking about petrol consumption a while back.
This was mixed driving, dyno and spirited driving...
