I know I know, not BMW's most exciting model!

My 09 320i (manual)has 210K on the clock and has been a very enjoyable vehicle save for some basic maintenance such as;

Valve stem seals
Plastic water pipe running across the top of the radiator replaced
New fuel pump
10k oil change intervals
10k wheel balancing & rotation

I would be interested to hear from other owners, your current mileage and related maintenance regime & parts replaced as I am trying to ascertain how much life these engines/vehicles have in them.

I have a LCI 320i and my mileage is on 262K.

I have had no major issues - 1 battery change, radiator replacement due to a leak, fuel pump at about 140k. Other than that it has been fantastic.

Seeing that it is a N46 engine, I also have a 318i with 490k, this has given me a fair amount of issues, however no engine work was required apart from the valve stem seals at 440k

WOW, that is impressive. I am so keen to " upgrade" to a F30 320d but the timing is currently not right.

I do have a couple of minor oil leaks I need to attend to, but hey cheaper than a newer car!!

I am glad to hear your feedback. that should give me another 12/18 months. Thank you

I had a 118i with the same N46 engine, I sold it at 215000km back in 2014. Besides normal service items , the only issue was a radiator replacement.

Lol...

here's mine:

320i e90 LCI - auto
mileage - 197k

re-did the engine due to cracked oil pump (extended warranty covered most of this)
replaced headlamps - R600
replaced oil cooler due to crack - 3k
replaced thermostat housing due to crack - 2,5k
replaced radiator after thermostat housing cracked - 3k

and then did the normal oil change, pollen filter, air filter, fuel filter etc. - 2,5k

I do about 70km a day in peak hour traffic and use about R650 in petrol a week, if I compare it to my previous "out the box" new Ford Figo, I used the same amount of money in petrol, so the BMW is a definite upgrade.
maybe one day when I'm rich n famous I'll get a 320d

My e90 320i has 210k on the clock just did a decat and the power gain was a big difference. I truly believe that the catalytic convertors are the cause of all the problems these cars experience
