Nice work. Is the gain, if any, from ceramic coating the headers worth the cost involved?

A quick search will tell you that ceramic coating enhances performance, however the primary reason that it was done was to keep the headers looking clean and rust free.

Looking lovely so far.

The other reason for the coating is the "significant" reduction in heat in the engine bay from the manifolds. I doubt there are any real gains to be made, just losses to minimise.

Peter - Why would one fit these manifolds, if the OEM ones look like this:

Or is this another classic example of where the RHD cars were an afterthought?

Chris as you said the RHD cars were a compromise due to a rather large steering box being in the way.

Started with the first stage of cleaning. Once the worst is off I'll do a second pass to get to all the tougher bits.

The only product to use if you into cleaning corroded connections properly.

In order:
Protect, Wash, Clean. And you use it the other way around :)

Hey, there's other colors than black !

Now just to wait for the loom to dry out so I can drag it off to the lab for repairs

Gertenator take a bow.
Thank you.

As an aside for those that may be interested I have the ability to solder what I lack is the knowledge and skill to do it properly for it is not as easy as one may think.

Im liking the Collaboration between you two...and Gert, i must commend you - that looks O.E.M.

Im glad to see that there are still guys with the balls to apply effort to anything they do - even if it just starts with cleaning, that little bit goes a long way.

+10 points to both of you guys cracking away at this car. Well done!
