Hi Guys
My names Mohammed(M325ci).Been on this site and the E30club site for some time now.I bought an 81 E12 518 about a year ago.I actually bought the car for my dad as his one was stolen in 1981 and was never found. These are true classics which I had NO clue off.
Lets be honest their is a very big hype on the E30s and them currently being collectors items.A big up to E30clubSA as they are doing a really good job with the site and these precious E30s we all love.
With no disrespect to them at all(As i am crazy about the E30s) lets be honest the E12 and E28s are more rare and are definitely classics.Yes there might not be a lot left on our roads but i feel there definitely should be a lot of good examples out there.
So let me get to the point, the reason for posting this thread is to see how many of these cars still exist on our roads.I am loving my one, actually drive it more then my 325CI
So guys if any of you out there owns an E12 or E28 please would you post pics and share info about your vehicle.I definitely would love too see it and i am sure the other guys would too.My long term goal is to actually get all of us to meet up with our cars and appreciate these classics. Its just so awesome when all the E30s get together and i want to achieve the same thing with our babys.I will be taking pics of my car this weekend and will definitely post pics of it for you guys.
Hey Mohammed
Like the car, i too managed to pick up a gem like this. A 1980 E12 518. it still has the double stongbow carbs as well.
It still has the original rims/wheel caps, with the same blue interior.
To be quite honest, i was never a BMW fan, that is until i bought the car. Never looked back since. Currently have the car for just over 7 months. I'm trying to restore it to it's original self and doing little by little. Replacing fule lines, lights, the interior wood panels and gear knob etc.
I'll try and get some pics to add to this forum showing what all i've done and what the car looks likes.
Thanks
