And yes maybe so I am sorry, I can not retract that statement but I would if I could.

Its all good, it's just that the temperature in here is already passed boiling.

To be honest, I don't know how I would react if someone completely fucked my car, or if someone baselessly accused me of completely fucking their car.

Either way, lets make like a cucumber and try stay cool.

I have not said anything and have just been reading as time goes on. This is such a terribly sad story! Apart from the people directly involved, we are all "outsiders" and can only comment on our interpretations and views based on what has been said and revealed. I am not going to though, because it is irrelevant and won't change anything anyway. It is also tragic that it has gotten so out of control that all parties involved cannot simply get past the blame and instead just work on find common ground and solutions.

I feel for everyone involved! That is all!

I have remained completely neutral on this matter It has been difficult to do so given my relationship with Peter. I have done so to gain perspective from both sides and to better understand how this project went wrong

at this stage I only comment because the picture painted here is different to the man I know. I am not saying Chris is being untruthful but his perspective maybe skewed because of the engine failure and the massive disconnect between him and Peter

the person I know cares deeply about doing the best job possible and rebuilding engines to the highest possible standard for example:

a car came in for Vanos and Valve shims unfortunately the correct size shim was not on hand so Peter had to swap shims around to get them to BMW tolerance this was almost perfect but not up to Peters standard... when shim stock arrived Peter redid the shims so all clearances were exactly the same free of charge

the person I know is human will admit to mistakes and rectify them. I have no doubt that if it was found that the engine failed as a direct result of Peters assembly he would step up and resolve it

unfortunately the relationship between Peter and Chris has degraded to the point where they can no longer interact and the only way I see this thread ever being resolved is if they work together rather than against eachother... I have tried to act as a mediator to this end but this has failed and I do not see how it would be possible for Peter and Chris to work together given what has been happened in this thread

this leaves us with this mess I do not believe this can be resolved. some issues like the cam timing brought up here can be discussed further and resolved.

as for this project... it has failed and we will never know exactly why because the parties involved cant work together

my only hope is that the next phase of Chris's build goes smoothly and he can enjoy the car without complications his new plans have less variables so this should help
