Just changed oil with Peter... Did our first 8000rpm pull and she's good... real good. So smooth and responsive. Peter, you have built one awesome engine my MAN!!! Legend!!!
Peter has he car for now. Going to be doing valve clearance check to make sure all the shims are still within tolerance. Also changing Gearbox Oil and then checking some suspension bits. Jezebel has become a little nervous around the bends, but I think this is because since the whole rear suspension was dropped last year when doing the subframe reinforcement, I've never really gotten her back to a proper setup.
Last week I discovered my back left suspension was in negative camber whilst back right was positive. OEM M3 suspension does not allow for major changes in camber... I have UUC adjustable Camber arms... so I can go crazy with negative camber for track days.
There are so many different variables that can be changed on this car, it's actually scary how precise you can make the setup, but if you don't know what you are doing, it is so easy to unbalance the car... Take today for example, I've been having a very twitchy front end the past few days since redoing alignment last week. Got under the car, dialed the dampeners down 3 clicks in the front from 7 down to 4, and wow... much better.
Still fascinates me how alive this car is... always talking to the driver, letting you know what's she's up to, where she is going and whether she is happy or not.

Got my cousin's 21st that I have to help organize tomorrow so Peter will have another night to lurk about the streets of Sandton with Jezebel...
Speaking of peter, I just got off the phone with him now... He's been driving Jezebel around and it seems like he has been having tonnes of fun. Thanks for building such an awesome engine Peter. Legend!!!

Even though Jezebel is not fully run in and will not be for another 5k there is only 1 car I know that is maybe quicker and that is the CSL that Fordkoppie sold recently.
I am astounded with the acceleration of this car.......and the toque is astounding.
We have a beast on our hands methinks.

Only got the car back yesterday.
She's been pulling left even before I took the car to Peter for the engine rebuild, and we just discovered my left control arm is shot. So no crazy driving until it's fixed. Peter is in Cape Town this week so when he gets back, car will go in to get control arms replaced with new poly bushings etc.
Also, wet weather does not allow for awesome driving... I hate the rain... So much.
