Crash's Jezebel in for a Rebuild-Rebuilding an e46 S54 UPDATE on page 26

Andy took the car out for a short drive on Republic Rd and hit 5k in 4th in an instant without realising it as it revs like a sewing machine.

On the proviso that it is run in properly for at least 1 000kms and the rings bed in I am of the opinion that few e46 Ms will be able to sit with this one.

We enjoyed this build...........

Wow... WOW... Wow..

This car, at first, feels like the Jezebel I had become accustomed to driving... At first she felt no different... but after driving her for a LOOOONG drive home, I think it's safe to say that Peter, you are a legend and have built a machine of note. She revs up so fast... Like stupidly fast. And the exhaust note, much deeper and mean. Love it.

Tonight was not only awesome, but different. Usually I come past Peter and Alex's place so often to bring new parts for the build, then watch them work their magic before heading back home. I had become so used to leaving Peter's place without Jezebel, that it was surreal to leave tonight, with Jezebel, thinking, "shit... I am not coming back tomorrow to bring any new parts." The build is finished. It's so strange. It was actually sad in its own way. I almost didn't want to leave. Very weird.

Peter, Alex.. thank you so much for all your hard work on restoring this amazing car. She's had a troubled past, but I think this is a new page for her. i'm so excited to get her run in so I can really drive her.

Thank you all for following the build thread. It was really awesome to have so much support from all you guys. There are a few things that we still need to do that Peter has pointed out, so I will be back to get those final adjustments done once I have run the car in... so the thread will still continue for some time...

I'm excited again. Thank you so much Peter!!!

Compliments to all who played a role in this build. Job well done it seems. (Not that you had any other option, with the amount of people watching this thread, it's important not to make your name toffee )

And the pics and vids made it that much more pleasurable to read. Also learnt quite a bit here.

And congrats to Crash for finally getting your car back. Time to enjoy it again, and reap the rewards of all the madness.

Perhaps a suggestion (and apologies if I've missed it), but perhaps a summary of what all has been done to Jezebel overall? As well as what is new to this particular build which will differentiate it from other Ms?

Keep up the good work!

After recently doing some work on Moose's clean low mileage (57 000km) 2006 E46 M3 I had the privilege to drive it a little afterwards and can say that its the best E46 I have ever driven. Now that is a good running stock motor and has plenty low down torque coupled with the relatively short ratio (3.62:1) diff its easy to keep the car under 4000rpm for the run-in process so long as you keep sport mode off. Jezebel is now that motor and then some, you probably have even more low down torque now!:bravo:

I disagree, that was a good move.
Back on track. Well done Peter! At least Chris will not have more issues with the motor for some time.
