So.
After changing the title, everything got deleted from the thread. :rage:

So here is the story again....well a version of it because I don’t actually remember what all I said :roflol:

So for those of you that don’t know my origins, I started off with a little online forum called e30clubSA many many years ago which the led me to BMWFanatics later.

A stock standard 320i that was worse for wear due to my brothers lack-luster approach to vehicle care.
It ended up being a built 2.9l Absolute beast.

Nearly 3 years since I last owned a bmw, after selling my 135i, I’ve finally taken myself to where it all started, an e30!
My last e30 I sold with the prospect of buying something exceptionally special which I unfortunately lost just before my car got sold.

Nearly a decade later, I’ve now joined the fraternity of classics once more with an absolute factory stock 320i 4 door.
By a stroke of absolute fortune, my mother who was car-hunting at the time ended up coming across this car. Owned by an elderly lady prior, it was bought new in 1992 and owned by them ever since. Garaged it’s entire life and driven less and less by the looks of things.

I will just get to the pics rather. They tell more of the story. Haha.

That beautiful amber glow :inlove:

It has a beautifully clean interior but it needed some love just to get it nice and clean again!

Absolutely stock standard everywhere.

I have a long list of what I want to do with the car and a longer list of OEM parts that I’m replacing to restore the car to absolute factory spec.
I need to do a full engine detail as well as a full exterior paint correction as well as take care of 2 or 3 rust spots. I can’t wait to get cracking on replacing with OEM parts from BMW to get her looking absolutely perfect.
But she is incredibly complete.
In terms of modifications I am looking at the following for now;

• OEM BBS basketweaves
• decent drop
• OEM rear spoiler
• M-Tech II steering wheel
• Full tool-kit.

Other than that I’ll see down the line. I am so torn between just keeping it absolutely stock standard and playing with it. Haha.

We shall see in due course.

Thanks for looking.
I’ll have more details soon!

That interior looks flawless...

I know this is a big ask...but keep it as it is, you dont ever see them unmolested or abused like this!

This is exactly the problem!
The car is so incredibly clean and original so I want to keep it just like this in terms of its originality but at the same time there are things that I would like to just make my own too :smilebounce:

The interior is beautiful... I've always loved it ever since my first E30.
It's especially rare to find an E30 dashboard that isn't cracked due to sun/heat damage... maybe look into doing to some preventative work to protect it from cracking (if it is being parked in the sun)?

hey bud.
Thankfully this car will more than likely only see sunlight when it's out and about which isn't often. Even when parked in darkness the dash is covered but I will be getting a moulded mat for the dashboard as well for further protection! And the pill and a couple condoms. And a mirena. Can just never be too sure. :fencelook:

Leave it standard as is untouched and unmolested.

Buy another if you wish to make it your "own"

yeah these are my thoughts too.

I was having all sorts of thoughts but I'll see.
For now I just want to get it 100% and then I'll see which direction I will go with her

Continuing to think out loud.

This car is rare due to the low mileage and good original condition.
In a car park of everyday cars it will stand out for its "purity"

If you wish to make it blend do the following

Engine stroke it
Exhaust fit a noisy rear box with 2 pipes
Suspension do a 40mm drop
Mags fit those cheap worx copies in 19" preferably with skinny tyres.
Give it a tint 80%
Place 2xM badges on the bootlid and 1 on each fender.

Or any 3 choices from the above 6
Just thinking out loud. :)

That is really really nice. Only thing I would change, would be the wheel covers, for a nice set of bottle caps.

Try and keep the yellow numbers plates as well.
